Wanted to come see the May roses - also known as the Centifolia Rose or the Cabbage Rose - and Le Domaine de Mason is the only working farm to have tours...... and they also just happen to supply Dior :-) Producing Centifolia Roses in May and jasmine and tuber rose in the October-ish months, there is definitely something to see at multiple times of the year and this tour covered their whole harvests overviews so we got wonderful insight into their year long efforts to produce exceptional flowers No reservation required. Tuesdays during rose harvest (May) there are tours at 9am for 7€ which was a bargain to me...we learned so much. Walking around the fields, hearing about the region of Grasse and their sustainable, organic practices and growing the exceptional quality roses that would only be good enough for Dior, we knew this was the place to come learn Fragrant air, sunny day and there was a treat at the end as we discovered they hold back a very small portion of their harvest to make jams.
