He was really personable and put us at ease. Plus, he had an impressive background in wines and his knowledge helped enhance the experience. We all left knowing more about Provence wines. I saw a few posts raving about SeaZen in a travel group I'm in and it did not disappoint! This was by far the most reasonably priced boat experience I saw, and we had such a great time. The boat was really easy to find in the Marina in Beaulieu-sur-Mer (we took an Uber from Nice but you can take a train as well)- they provide clear directions to the boat at booking which came in handy. We met our captain and guide Guillaume who was amazing. We booked the 2 hr trip and he gave us some options of what we wanted to see. He took us up the coast around Saint Jean Cap Ferrat we were able to get pretty close and we were able to see all the stunning villas and views up close. He pointed out and share some really fun information about all of them. Then we anchored for about 30 minute where we were able to jump off the boat and swim in the stunning blue water. He even had pool noodles and goggles onboard for us to use. After swimming we took a ride around some of the insanely large and expensive yachts out on the water. We were even able to take turns driving the boat. The boat itself is super cool. It is solar powered and completely silent, which was really relaxing and made talking and listening to him point things out so much easier. The deck of the boat was cork so it was not slippery at all after swimming and the whole boat was very comfortable! I would highly recommend booking SeaZen (we used Get Your Guide to book)! I'm so glad we decided to add this to our itinerary!

The hotel is historic, but the rooms were updated several years ago, and offer both sea views and mountain views. Bathrooms have a half door, so there's water all over the floor when you get out. We booked the sea view, but got bumped to a mountain view room, for some reason, but the hotel compensated us with a bottle of champagne and a voucher for food or drinks. I highly recommend them; they were very friendly, professional, wonderful inventory of scooters, at great rates. We rented a larger faster scooter for 50 euros for 1 day. If you are planning to stay here, I'd highly recommend taking a taxi from the airport (~35 euro) or packing light. The hike up the hill with luggage can be a challenge, even if you're in decent shape. Service at the hotel is 4.5 stars. Phillippe is awesome and has great recommendations for dinner. He's friendly and welcoming. I would give him 5 stars. I would've rated the hotel higher, but it is a bit of a trek to the touristy spots. In addition, the walls are thin, so you can hear everything that goes on in the room next door. Our neighbors were definitely having a lot of "fun" on our last night. Even though I knocked on their wall several times, I wasn't able to stop their late night fun. We thought our room included the breakfast buffet, unfortunately it didn't and we had a 16 euro/pp/day charge. It wasn't that we minded the charge, but the food was definitely not worth the 16 euro/day. There weren't that many choices at breakfast. The hotel provides free wifi access, although it is spotty. It is also limited to two sign-ons per room. If you have a lot of wifi devices, you'll find yourself trying to figure out which device you want to connect to the wifi. There are some other creative ways you can get online, but I'm sure other yelp reviewers are smart enough to figure it out. :) If I visited Nice again, I would probably pay the extra $ and stay at the Hotel Negresco. I do recommend this hotel if you have a rental car. Nice is car friendly and this particular hotel is located in a residential area, so there is plenty of free street parking.

Comfortable beds and pillows, well-furnished bedrooms, sparkling clean and roomy bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff (who will explain where to go and what to do)...you get the picture! About one previous review: YES this hotel is located on a hill: the plentiful photos online clearly describe that fact...and the results are outstanding - quiet neighborhood, beautiful view, and fresh air! About another previous review: YES the breakfast is 16 Euros each but (traveling around the world) the buffet here is top-tier and delicious: hot eggs, bacon, sausage, plentiful fruit and baked goods, coffee and tea, juice and milk, yogurt, salmon and prosciutto...again, you get the picture! You are in France so definitely have breakfast other places on other days but for sure check out breakfast at the hotel itself! Everything is relative - for the cost (large bedroom with garden view for about 130 Euros) and the gorgeous/comfy/calm surroundings, I would give this hotel 8 stars if it was possible!

Rooms will remind of a bygone era of decadence, and you're steps from the shore across the street. Our visit was for a weekend congress, and it certainly set the standard for any return trips to Nice.

Classy, historical 5 Star hotel that doubles as an art museum…read more Just concluded a wonderful stay in Nice while the nearby Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix week were underway. Arrived at the hotel and was treated like a King. As a member of Leading Hotels of the World there was a welcome letter, complimentary toiletries gift set from Lalique, and I received a complimentary 60 minute massage at Le Spa as part of my package. The ascent to my room was epic, starting off with the velvet red elevator with automatic opening doors. As I got off the elevator I was greeted with an assortment of art (which is present on all floors and the common areas). I received an upgrade to a garden room overlooking the Musee Massena and a partial sea view which was magnificent (room 404). The room was well appointed with a super comfortable bed and came equipped with electric blinds that allowed me to sleep after sunrise. Chocolates were left bedside each evening of the stay. Each morning I was offered the breakfast buffet as well as a menu from which I could order specialty items off of such as pancakes and an egg white omelette. Service and food was great. The evenings offered live entertainment in the 1913 and Versailles bars with an outdoor smoking seating option for cigar aficionados. All the staff, particularly the Concierge team, were extremely helpful and made restaurant reservations for me upon request. The hotel also offers a beach club, which I did not take advantage of. The location was great, just 15-20 minutes from the airport, right across the street from Promenade Anglais, a 15-20 minute walk to the Nice-Ville train station, and about 15-20 minute walk to Old Town. I would certainly consider staying here again.
