And then a waitress says 5 minutes. It's been 15 minutes. It's been an hour and a half. Still no food. For the amount of money we're paying this is absurd. It's absurd regardless of the cost. The food ended up being delicious, and we devoured it in about 10 minutes given we waited so long. I speak very little French but did my best to communicate to the staff that we had waited well over an hour and asked politely if perhaps the wine could be comped/free. The French couple next to us agreed. Alas, for whatever reason we could not be comped and instead was offered mint tea. No thanks.
