And the bathroom sink is broken so you have to wash your hands in the kitchen. Worth a visit!

My vegetarian had a a sweet potato bake that she thought was decent. My veggie burger was underwhelming- the patty was super thin and lacked a clear flavor or texture. Riz Riz is conveniently located in Marais and has a fairly large space--a number of tables, many of which could accommodate larger groups. After checking for our reservation, my partner and I were quickly seated and offered the choice of an English menu (thank you!) For food, we settled on the "rice table" which was a bit of a smorgasbord of several dishes on their menu. It came in 8 decent size bowls, with another bowl of rice for each of us. There were a few stew/soup style bowls (which were all delicious), some that focused on chickpeas or edamame, another with sweet potato waffles, and one with an incredible beet hummus. If it sounds like a lot of food, it was, even for two people. We both walked away very filled up, though stomach's happy. Pricing was reasonable too, keeping the wallet happy as well. And if you want to keep the night going, there's plenty of places nearby to grab a drink. Cheers!

Their food menu has 4 appetizers (€10-14) and 4 mains (€19.50-22). My wife & I split 2 of each: -Sesame Marinated Tofu (€13) -- easily the best dish we got, coming in a soy & lime yogurt base, with the tofu beautifully crusted in sesame seeds and other spices/herbs. Delicious -Grilled Green Asparagus (€14) -- very nicely prepared, served in a cashew cream base, parsley pesto, and arugula. Very nice. -Hazelnuts Mashed Potatoes (€22) -- a bit bland, but the mustard vinaigrette and rooibos & tamari cream were nice as a base; the potato mash lacked flavour though and there wasn't much hazelnut character. -Elicoidali Basil & Balsamic Cream (€21.50) -- nicely cooked pasta dish, with eda mame beans, sundried tomatoes, and covered in a pesto and sunflower seed sauce. A bit bland as well, but reasonably done. Service was quick and helpful. Sparkling water is €4.50, but that is written in the menu which you receive after being asked whether you want still (free) or sparkling water. All in all, great appetizers, blander mains. Might not be worth the price, but the experience overall was good.
