I love the pastries and breakfast combos here. But you have to understand this isn't like a regular Melbourne café. It's a place for quick, cheap meals. So don't come here expecting anything else. For $8.50 you can get bacon, eggs, mushroom, tomato and either French toast or a croissant and juice or coffee. That's pretty damn good if I say so myself. Again, the French toast aren't thick slices of fluffy brioche, lovingly dipped in eggs, they're just plain white bread dipped lightly in egg, pre-drizzled in maple and are a little limp on the plate. Despite all that I quite liked it. I liked it a lot in fact. The coffee isn't too bad for what it is. And they also freshly make their cakes and pastries daily. The sausage rolls was quite good, so are the strudel, danishes, oh hell, pretty much all of them. The people are friendly and the service is quick too. read more
