Let me tell you why I paid this place a visit twice in 3 days! Atmosphere/Appearance: Right among the cobblestone streets in the surrounding downtown area is this gem. It's a lil' hidden and is only distinguishable by either looking through the big windows or the lil' sign that hands right above the stone archway. The interior design carries in that older European architecture that's present right on the outside. There's lots of stone everywhere, big picture frames, a small bar at the back of the restaurant and the see-in kitchen to the left. There are only a few tables so be sure to have reservations or some good luck! Lol. Service: Stéfane (@stf_nws on Instagram )is the owner/operator/chef/bartender/everything. Lol. He was SO FREAKING COOL and so chill. Despite having to literally do everything in the restaurant, he did it with a passion, with style, with flare and with love. You could just tell he put his soul into this restaurant and into this food. Food: On both of my visits I went with their big gourmet plate. I can't remember the official name of the plate, but it was gigantic. Lol. It comes with a plate FULL of smoked goodies! Beef ribs, pulled pork, sausage, chicken and the choice of 2 sides. For my sides I went with the beans and side salad. My goodness. Everything was FANTASTIC and smoked to perfection. I don't even wanna single anything out, but the ribs FLOORED me. They were so incredible juicy, smokey and full of flavor, but you can't go wrong with any of the components of this meal. Value: I can't remember the exact amount, but I believe my plate was around 35€ and absolutely worth it. In conclusion, do I even need to tell you how much I loved this place? It was intimate, tasty, affordable and gave you such a great experience. I can't wait to visit this place again!

The mixed meats plate was enormous and also superb. Don't skip his cardiac fries. Not typical fries. They're chunks of potatoes maybe fried, roasted, or sauced. I don't know. But they were magical. It's very country, Texas, redneck style music, not what I would expect in France let alone Lyon. Most Americans don't listen to that style of country. One song was title I'm a redneck woman or something like thay. Most if not all restaurants played a mix of American, French and international music but this music felt like I was in the backwoods of Confederate Alabama, Texas, etc. you can be an American influenced steakhouse without the country music.

So my co-worker found this place and it's a Korean BBQ style restaurant and I love those! I was so excited to show him how thing work at this style of restaurant so here goes! Atmosphere/Appearance: So right downtown Lyon located off of the main square is this gem. It's brightly lit so you can clearly see what's going on in there. The décor is pretty chill, but I loved how each vent hood was lit up with a different color. I thought that was an excellent touch. All of your grills are located toward the front of the restaurant, but the buffet where all of your raw meats and vegetables are located toward the back along with the desserts! Service: There wasn't much service since you're doing your own cooking, grilling and gathering your own food. However, how server did take good care of us. Food: I mean, you cook your own food so OF COURSE MY FOOD WAS AMAZING! Lol. It's such a good and fun experience though. You hit the buffet to grab some chicken, tofu, beefs, pork, vegetables or whatever you like, oil the grill then throw it on there! It's pretty simple. I love these kinds of spots, especially when they're buffets! Value: Merely 22€ for a buffet of all the meats, vegetables, shrimp and so much more stuff! I think this was an excellent value for sure. My wife spotted an Asian woman going in and out from the back so she hopped up to ask her if there was red sauce.... In Korean..... Nope- the woman wasn't Korean. So the wife asked "does anyone speak Korean?" NOPE.... Bummer.... If I have to give a rundown of the food... Fine: the meat was bulgogi, but only soaked in soy sauce. The rice was fried rice with corn, peas, and carrots. The lettuce was iceberg.... Not even the real leaves.... I'm serious- I shouldn't have to say anymore. You can expect the classical checkered table clothes, a tight seating arrangement where the person sitting next to you is a complete stranger (that you'll get to chat and know along the evening) and a boisterous chef that welcomes you and comes to check on you many times during the meal. The menu has all the classics and you can even afford to try them all in one sitting without exploding the bank. The plate of cold cuts was packed tightly with generous servings of terrine, pate de foie gras, saucisson. The quenelle was so fluffy and well souffled that it was like a pillow in your mouth. The tripes although not for everyone, satisfied our desire for offals. The andouillette was crispy on the outside and served with a well flavoured mustard sauce. All in all, for four hearty dishes, 2 glasses of kir and a 46cl bottle of wine, the total came up to 78€! Reservations highly recommended :)

We were abruptly told by a little rude waiter that we were late, he made such a fuss I thought he was going to say he couldn't seat us but then he gave us a table in the corner outside! The table was uncomfortably small (we are not big people) it was cramped! We ordered some drinks and apps and within about 20 mins I had water dripping down my back and on my arms which I thought was raindrops! I realized that actually it was water leaking from the apartment drains above. The water was also hitting the table and going in our food! We asked to be moved indoor where there were tables but we were promptly told to shift to the table next to ours outside. We did so but realized more water coming down on the food! When I complained and said it's unacceptable, the waiter asked do we want a table inside? Lol, so now you have space but before you didn't! The waiter just shrugged and said it's normal when you have apartments above! Absolutely disgusting attitude and rude treatment of paying customers! We left without finishing our contaminated food! We paid for it but there was no compensation or apology! Don't bother going here, most other restaurants we went to we received excellent service and pleasant people!
