The menu is pretty simple and straightforward, you can order meat (we got pork, but others ordered beef) and you can order some sides... we chose to get the garlic bread, corn on the cob, and loaded potatoes. Everything was finger licking good. ...(and I really hate licking my fingers because that's what moist towelettes are for, but neither my friend nor I had time to even think about asking for a moist towelette because the food was just too good.. we couldn't stop ourselves from pigging out- no pun intended). Just do yourself a favor and stop here if you're in Montpellier. But make sure to call in advance and make reservations or go early because they're very popular! (For all the right reasons!)

For 22€ you get a simple salad, great quality steak with a phenomenal dipping sauce, delicious thin-cut fries. Then you get the steak & fries all over again! No idea how it's 22€ with that quality of meat. The meal IS simple. In fact there is no menu. But they do what they do -- steak frites -- really well and there's no doubt about it!! I will say they go a LOT more rare than you say so I would ask for it more cooked (and then you'd probably get what you do want). I like my steak medium and definitely got it rare. I had to send it back more than once until I said okay just make it well done, and then it was perfectly medium. Not sure if this is a trait in all of the city, but pro tip! Enjoy.

Cautions: Make sure waitresses have your desired degree of done-ness accurately. Go early or face a long waiting-for-table que. They even have a loyalty card program and a -20% off when showing your student id. So if you're a student you can eat a great meal in a nice restaurant without spending a lot! It was all delicious, particularly the razor clams. For our mains, we both had lamb shanks which were cooked to (almost) fall off the bone consistency. It would have used with probably another hour or two of cooking but it was still delicious. It was served with a beautiful array of veg which provided a colourful background for the lamb. The dish was very pretty! Super bon repas dans un endroit tranquil. Nous avons passé un très bonne soirée ici. C'était même mieux parce que c'était pendant la Coupe du Monde. France jouait et heureusement pour tout le monde, a gagné! :-)
