Eleven of us came here on my wedding day. This place is super cute. It's really clean and in a beautiful area. Michelle provided several breakfast snacks, coffee, water and mimosas for us. They have a speaker there so we could connect our own playlist too. It's a perfect atmosphere and exactly what I was looking for. When booking, I understood that it would be a private event, but one of the hairdressers had appointments all morning. We were there from 8-12:30 and there was at least one stranger there with us the entire time. Michelle did come up and apologize for the schedule confusion, which I appreciated. Prices. Bride's trial hair and makeup is $60 per service. Day of for party was $60 for Updos, $60 for makeup. Day of for bride was $120 hair, $120 makeup. I have short hair so asked her if we could come down so she charged $60 for my hair which was nice. Everyone was super nice and great at their job, we all left happy. Michelle kept checking in with me to make sure all was well and making sure we didn't need anything. She took photos for us, even offered us umbrellas because it started to sprinkle as we were leaving. So sweet. Burta did most everyone's makeup and she was seriously incredible. Super talented. I had a strapless dress and asked if she would contour my neck and chest as well. She killed it. Loved her so much. Overall, great place and talented people. Would recommend ! read more

My visit to this salon was AMAZING! From calling to speaking to the sweetest receptionist.. to help finding the salon.. this place just is so charming. I'm from Florida and needed a wash and blow dry. I found out Lindsay was an established colorist and hair artist and I was impressed by her thoughtfulness so I decided on a touch up on my highlights. Lindsay went above and beyond for me and I had the most fun and my hair turned out amazing. The ambiance is relaxing at the salon and is super cute with a great vibe and big sunny windows. I just can't recommend this place enough. The receptionist was the stylist Lindsays sister, so it made it feel like a wholesome family friendly environment. Check it out.. you won't regret it. This place is amazing to get your hair blown-out or styled. The hairdressers and receptionists are super sweet. I'm not sure if the makeup artist was having a bad day or what, but she was extremely rude. The salon was full of people, yet she proceeded to comment on the condition of my face. I had read an article in the local newspaper about this place, with nice photo which identified the founder as Michelle Frankovich Gramza. So when I needed a blow-out for a job interview, I made an appointment for late on a weekday afternoon. Parking was difficult due to a health club on the same street. When I entered the salon, there was only one worker there. She did not even acknowledge me standing at the front desk for five minutes! Never even introduced herself. Started shampooing my hair - it was a really poor shampoo - couldn't even tell my head was being shampooed. That was a bad sign. Had to ask her to do it again properly. I mentioned that I had an important job interview the next day and needed my hair to last. While she blew out my hair, I learned that the owner is in name only. Owner apparently used to go to a salon in Highland Park for blowouts, so started this establishment and hired that woman, along with several of her family members from Iran or Iraq, to work at this salon. I had the younger sister, who was a nice person; however did not possess the required experience to do a decent blowout. I kept asking, "Is it going to last?" She assured me it would. You guessed it. The very next morning, my hair looked terrible. I was so upset. I really wanted this to work for me and to find a local establishment I could return to. This individual did not know how to provide proper customer service (greet your customers), or perform a decent blow out or shampoo. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Unprofessional staff. I cancelled my appointment 72 hours before hand. Had prepaid, it is nearly 30 days post appointment and I have not be refunded, I cannot get a call back. My credit card company cant get a call back. Went here and hairdresser was in a hurry. She showed up late to my appointment and I ended up waiting over 45 minutes. She then rushed to do my hair as she was running behind and did a terrible job, the prices are good but the rushed work is not. I had heard about the raving reviews and maybe I caught her on a bad day running late but the least she could have done was let me know the waiting time so I wouldn't have to be waiting close to an hour. Won't be coming here again nor do I recommend this place to anyone unless of course you have all day to wait around for a mediocre hairdo. read more

I regret going to the blowout bar. They had difficulty with my thin hair. After washing it, the comb out was PAINFUL. They said they couldn't curl all of my hair, only the ends for some reason??? When finished the stylist's shirt was covered with about 50 strands of my hair! Yes, I now have 2" broken strands of hair which stand strange up from my head! read more

This is by far the best blowout I've had. Byrta is meticulous. I don't like too much product in my hair and she always listens! The owner is so approachable and she checks on you u to make sure you are happy with your service. The location is fabulous and the decor is wonderful. The salon is cute and simple. My appt was at 9:30 on a Saturday morning, and the day before they called and asked me to come at 9:15 so I could get my hair washed (no biggie!). So I got there at 9:15 and the owner and the girls were just hanging around and making their coffee and just checking in customers while everyone was just hanging out. The girl finally washed my hair at 9:30 ( which is okay, but don't have me come in early to get my hair washed when you're just going to do it at the time my appt was. The shampoo and stylist were not busy so I'm not sure what the hold up was). Then I told the stylist what I wanted...just simple beach wavy hair. She said no, and insisted on a different style. I was in a bit of a hurry so I didn't argue with her and at this point just wanted to get it done. I didn't love it, but it was okay. I wouldn't recommend this place. But if you're in a pinch I guess it would be better than nothing. read more

I went here with my bridesmaids on my wedding day to get simple blow outs and a half up/half down braided "up-do" and I ended up walking out with my hair sopping wet after the other girls working there tried to fix what one of the women "hair stylists" wrecked. Our first experience talking to the phone receptionist weeks prior should've been the first clue this was a bad idea...she had little idea of what was going on and was painful to talk to. When we arrived the day of, there was much confusion about who was getting what and which "stylists" were capable of doing what. I Asked for a half up/half down braid to hold my hair back for my wedding..figured this was pretty basic. I explained what products and curling irons work best with my hair (it's been mine for 30+ years so I figured this would be helpful). My hair stylist rudely asked why I didn't go to my own hair person since "she obviously knows me better". She then proceeded to make little rude comments and caked my hair with product after repeatedly being told I did not want that. She told me I had to or nothing would work. She then snapped at me several times when I tried to peak at what was going on with my hair. This was the last straw and I burst into tears. She kept trying to say she thought we were having a good time...I explained to her, the other stylists and the manager I did not want this woman touching my hair anymore because obviously we're not communicating well or a good fit. My bridesmaids thankfully got her away from me and the other stylists went to work trying to fix the disaster by repeatedly washing out the products Caked in my hair. I ended up walking out with sopping wet hair while one of my bridesmaids ended up drying her own hair and left with me. The only reasons this gets one star is because 1. I can't give zero and 2. It was nice of the other people working there to try to help. read more

I had a great experience at Le Blowout Bar. I made an appointment for a styled "loose curls" look for a wedding that evening. My stylist listened to my ideas and did a great job. My hair (which is very fine) held the entire evening. It would be great if they had evening hours for those getting off work or have events later in the day.
