Well, let me tell you folks...after the very first visit, I had without hesitation, found my new hair salon home! Not only am I super happy with my haircuts, but I'm happy with the feel of the studio. Anna is super sweet, an expect stylist and a great listener and communicator. I think the most important thing (beyond a precision cut) is the ability of the stylist to really listen to what the client is saying and be able to understand and comply to those wishes. On the other hand, the stylist should also be honest and tell the client that what they're looking for may not look the best with their hair texture, face shape, age, etc. Anna does both. I've only had haircuts and foil highlighting done so far, but this is a full service salon which offers everything you'd expect from a high end salon including waxing, facials and nails. The aesthetician is supposed to be fantastic and a facial will be my next teat to myself. I've only had my hair done by Anna, but my sister and friend have their cuts and hair color/foils done by Lauren and Ivanka and they are super happy with both stylists. I like that they stay open later than other places so it works with my after work schedule. The space is clean and the staff was friendly. They have all their policies written down a lot of people get thrown off by the 10 minute late policy. Just do whatever you can to not be late. Sam who did my nails cut me and I tried to stop him many times and asked him to wash my hands he said wait till he finishes shaping. I said ok. Once I washed my hands I asked for alcohol. Sam gave me some alcohol. I'm trying to not get an infection because the cut is deep. Then I go to pay. My total was $55 and when I was about to make the payment I see that the machine says $56.10. I asked the guy behind the desk why is it $56.10 and he said there is a 2% card fee. I told him you can't surcharge debit card transactions because it is illegal and to take off the fee. He refused. He said there is no way for him to do it. I said you can adjust the $55 to make it $55 with the fee. He said no. I tried to explain to him again that they can be fined for this and that I can file a complaint with visa for refusing to take off the fee and for charging debit card fees. He said to me do you want me to call the cops so you can file a complaint and took the phone pretending to dial 911. I told him you don't file a complaint with the police but visa and Mastercard. I asked for the owners phone number and name and he refused to provide it to me. So he wanted me to call the police to report this. I am in disbelief. I will file a complaint with visa.
