A welcome addition to the neighborhood, but with one unfortunate exception: They don't serve wine. They have beer, but no wine, which is too bad, since they serve sandwiches, tartas, salads, etc. It's the only place we've been to that doesn't offer wine.
I bought a baguette yesterday. I don't know why the bakeries in Buenos Aires are incapable of producing a crusty baguette like they do in France. Instead, the baguette was soft to the touch. Fortunately, lightly toasting it adds crispness. Crispiness + butter = Good.
Food - 3 stars - I base this only on the baguette i bought. I realize that this may be viewed as unfair, but really, the quality of the bread is fundamental for a bakery.
Ambiance - 5 stars - Very nice design, furnishings, and atmosphere. See the photos.
Service - 4 stars - This is based on my encounter with two smiling, friendly servers that I encountered before reaching the counter, as well as the fellow behind the counter. read more
