At the front there is a…read moresmall area designated by potted saplings where you can eat al fresco; inside, the medieval terraced house has been converted into a series of dining rooms on three levels. On entry, you will see straight into the immaculate glass-fronted kitchens, where smiling chefs will greet their diners with relish. The walls have been rendered down in places to expose original brickwork, and are otherwise covered with local ceramics, paintings, and shelved with wine. The tabling is tight; these people know they will get plenty of custom with their excellent food at very sensible pricing, so no space has been spared and in this respect it is more like a Paris brasserie. Expect to sit cheek-by-jowl with the locals and get ready for some social intercourse. Bricco sets its stall out as a destination for meat lovers, and backs up its meat-orientated menu with a Wine List containing some hefty national and local vintages. Kidneys were sauteed and glazed in an intense red wine and balsamic reduction. Vitello Tonnato had been made with fresh Tuna and garnished with local caperberries. Involtini of Lamb were deliciously, unctiously fatty and very tasty. A Sicilian-bred fillet of Angus was cooked to perfection: dark and crusty outside, meltingly pink and juicy within. Potatoes were oven-sauteed with fresh rosemary as only the Italians know how. For about 30 Euros one can dine regally. This place is destined to be in the next editions of all the guides, but right now I cannot find a single entry for it anywhere on the web. If you're out that way, be one of the first to try it!

I tried to tip 1 euro which by no means is required in all of Italy. The waiter waited for me to put the tip down. I put one euro. He handed it back to me and said no "5-10% tip". I said it's not required here he said no no "5-10%" tip. I started to translate using some app and was about to say aloud in Italian tip is not mandatory here but only suggested. He realized and shushed me and said ok. Spoke to my Airbnb host. And they said that he was trying to milk us for more money Honestly a prick move. For that reason I would never recommend anyone eat there. Tried to embarrass us into tipping extra

It's not the kind of place we would normally walk into, but it was recommended by someone we trust, and we were really glad we tried it. The restaurant is one of the few located right on the water, practically over it, so that you can eat on a terrace on the water or inside at these huge windows. If it's windy or a bit cool, indoors you have plenty of fresh air coming from the door and windows without the inconvenience of the terrace. We reserved a table for two at the window and it was so bright it was like being outside! The decor inside is quite formal, with double cloth table coverings and white faux-leather chairs that have seen better days but are perfectly comfortable. There is a less formal terrace at one side that is for the pizzeria and faster lunch, probably very crowded during prime-beach-weather. Let's talk food. We started with a plate of fried calamari (€13) which were huge and fresh, not at all chewy, with very light batter. Our primi came a little too soon afterwards; mine were a kind of three-coloured bucatini with tomatoes and pesce spada, which was really good, especially the quality and texture of the fish. I think the flavour was lacking delicacy slightly, I'm not a fan of pasta tricolore and no idea anyone actually ate the stuff, but the overall dish was good. My husband's pasta with pesto and shrimp looked a little heavy and over-dressed but you'll have to read Tommaso O's review to find out more :) I had just a salad after this, while Tommy O continued with a pesce spada which looked delicious. Dessert screamed for a lemon sorbet to digest, which was served in a kinda inconvenient bowl, rather than in the usual wine glass - so i transfered it to a glass :) My companion in crime had the most incredibly good cassatina fritta, I shall not tell you what it is just order it (it's a bomb!!). Today price 82 euros, which came down to 76 euros when we noticed a 2 euro discrepancy (coke we didn't order). Overall impression - very pleasant lunch and a great way to spend three hours after lazily reading on the beach all morning. It is a hard life, but the Yelper must do her best to eat, eat, eat.

Pretty extraordinary!!…read more We didn't have reservations but apparently got lucky someone cancelled. My party of 4 got seated right away. I'm a sucker for truffles and I noticed they had a lot of truffles on their menu. The special for the day was tortellini' with shaved white truffles. They brought a whole truffle and shaved a few grams in front of me. I posted a video of the experience. I then ordered the PIEDMONTESE FASSONA SIR FILLET, PURE AND BLACK TRUFFLE. It was cooked perfectly and the truffles had me salivating. Presentation is beautiful. Everything was perfect except the wait time. I normally expect restaurants in Europe to take 1 hour or two to get the food to the table but I noticed every table around us got their food 30 minutes before us, even if they were seated after. I guess that's why we need reservations next time. Pretty high end experience for a great price. Will recommend if in the area.

The decor was "wine chic" modern, with ice buckets fabricated from wine boxes. The front of this establishment was a wine shop with Sicilian and other Italian wine selections as well as olive oil and other Sicilian delicacies. We received royal treatment from Marco, one of the twins, of crisply spoken English, cordiality, and expertise in creating a memorable dining experience. The food was scrumptious and professionally presented. Local seafood excellence along with meticulously prepared pastas, including "tenerumi" a true Sicilian vegetable speciality in pesto form. The stuffed zucchini flowers were almost too beautiful to eat. And, seafood arancini - magnifico!!Marco brought it all together with perfectly picked wine selections for our appetizers, then main courses. Of course, he chose varying drinking vessels to match the varietal served - a true maestro. This was an immensely grand dining experience that we hope to experience again in our next travels to this "Isola Bella"!!!
