Fantastic restaurant serving simple French food, with high quality preparation, and for a low price. This restaurant is lit up with perfect reviews on other sites, and it's time Yelp catches up. Having to spend 1 week in Bordeaux for food study, I have been here twice, and can safely say this is my favorite restaurant in France so far.
Monday through Friday you have a 3 course + bread + 1 wine/coffee for 14€.
Saturday you have ala carte for average €16 main plate.
My first visit was ala carte seared lamb rack with a light garlic infused cream, and roasted vegetables topped pastry crumb. Also had an amazing hazelnut crème brulé.
Second visit was 3 course. Charcuterie plate of prosciutto, salami, and pate - Fish poached in cream, topped with a light gratin pomme puree - Chocolate fondant, and passionfruit sorbet.
The service also is the best I've had in France so far. Very kind service, the Chef speaks very good English, he came to take my order, and explained the dishes both times. This restaurant is small, 10 tables, and I believe the couple that work there are also the owners.
Long story short: come here if you like great food, great service, and fair prices. read more
