If I'd known the real problem, I would've paid a little extra to have it fixed correctly. But Mike charged me for the original quote & didn't explain that he'd made a mistake. So we still have the exact same leak we had before Mike charged us $3,430 for a leak proof basement (an airtight seal was promised in our original estimate. He said there'd be an apocalypse or the world would end before water leaked into the basement after his fix), & he claims now that we should've gotten a new door "like he suggested". He really said that we would eventually need to change our door. He didn't say, after getting into the problem, that the door was actually the cause of the leak, because our front door was beginning to rot, from the original owners trying to hide the leak in our basement. He just acted like that was a separate problem. Once the leak came back (in the same exact places & the same intensity), Mike wants to claim ignorance ("oh I said once I got under the porch that you need to change your door, but you didn't want to"). Total BS. He's a scammer!!!!I And I've given him weeks to actually be an honest person & fix the problem. So now we have to sue him to get our money back & report him to the BBB with proof of the real fix to our leak & his promises in our original quote. Don't fall his nice guy act!

We didn't want to inconvenience him, but really appreciated the above and beyond customer service since not having a blower for a wood stove on a 19 degree evening in December is a big deal! We ended up paying for the part online and asked if he would just leave it by the door for us to pick up. He agreed to our request, we got the part we needed and our wood boiler is now fix in the same night! Several weeks went by with no communication so I called to check on it and was told it was bad. So, I asked what the options were, and the gentleman said he could replace it for a couple hundred bucks and would let me know when he found something. Several more weeks went by and still, nothing. So I called again. This time he said he would rebuild it with spare parts he had laying around. Not keen on this idea as well as it being contradictory to what I was told the last time, I questioned this but he assured me it would be fine and that it would come with a 1 yr warranty. So I told him to go ahead with that. Again, several more weeks go by with no communication. I call yet again and was told they were waiting on me to tell them the size of the water connections on the pump. I told them that that nobody ever told me that to which the lady on the phone argued, saying they did. Despite having no reason to at this point given what had transpired thus far, I gave them the benefit of the doubt here. I gave them the dimensions and was told again it would be ready the next week. I gave it two with, again, no communication before finally going in and asked for my motor back which was in the exact state as I brought it in. I very politely explained all of this to the lady running the counter and was met with nothing but deflection and excuses about how they deal with industrial stuff as well which backs them up, etc. I said that makes sense but does not justify them telling me one thing and doing another, nor the complete lack of communication. She said, and I quote: "your hot tub pump is not important to anybody when there is industrial stuff to worry about, and we don't call people to provide them updates" (even when it takes months longer than what they were told). She never so much as offered any apology for the inconvenience. I said yes ma'am, this clearly is not the shop for me then and walked out with my pump. Even after dealing with all of this, I was nothing but polite and kind, and was met with a snotty attitude, and a complete lack of ownership over the situation by C.E.M. I'd never go back. This whole situation was unacceptable at every step. I don't do business with people of this character. And I would advise others to seek an alternative.
