This is a super convenient spot for a quick grab and go trip. Not a lot to see, but has all the…read morebasics. The single cans cooler is usually packed and includes new and seasonal so it's easy to try new things. I don't love the returns area in this one though. It's small so it gets messy fast and often has lines on the weekends. An extra sorting counter would fix the problem fast. Overall, great spot. Still have to try the new beer express service.

A brand new, ginormous LCBO right down the street from me?! AWESOME!…read more This location used to have one of the of the oldest, run down LCBOs in Ottawa, and it totally deserved this facelift. It's located right across the street from Carlingwood in the revamped Fairlawn Plaza. What makes this location so freakin' awesome? It's huge! It's size makes the selection great, and I have a bit of a sentimental attachment to it since it's were I first discovered pre-mixed Canadian Club and Ginger ale (SO convenient - right?!). Seriously though, the selection kicks butt, the staff are helpful and pleasant and it's brand new! What's not to love? Also, if you happen to be a drinking cyclist, they have a bunch of places for your bike (and they're used - a lot. I don't know how people have such awesome balance that they can bike home with a 2-4, but props to them). My only teeny tiny complaint it that they're only open till 9 p.m. most nights, but so are most locations that aren't downtown. Otherwise, thank you Ontario for this wonderful establishment!
