So we added shrub trimming, removal of dead shrubs and had them install 41 shrubs in our front of house as well as around our inground pool. Done so expertly and with such precision, we then had them lay 250 bags of Egg rock around our pool. They even mortared the stone back in our stone front wall. We are going to have Fall Cleanup and Spring Cleanup as well. Pricing is fair, the crew (Carlos, Jose, Al, Jorge) are hard working and energized, and the foreman, Anthony P., is foreman extraordinaire. Under his direction, the landscaping final job is world class and Anthony himself, veteran in his craft and a perfectionist - MASTER CLASS.

So this year we hired them to do several more big projects which involved sealing a driveway that they installed last year, installing a new gravel roadway with a grid reinforcement system to correct recurring pothole issue, installing a new asphalt driveway (and fixing a pre-existing drainage issue), as well as installing a beautiful Cambridge Stone retaining wall and front entry walkway. To say that we were happy with the end result of these projects would be an understatement. These guys do it all and they do it right. Easy to work with, reasonable pricing, reliable, and quality workmanship. Highly recommend JC Rockland/Kings Highway Paving without hesitation and plan to work with them again in the future!

It started out ok but things just got progressively worse and worse. We decided to bring in Lawn Dr. to help with some crabgrass and dandelion issues and decided to ask them if they could refer a new company to maintain the acre or so of grass as well as take care of the rest of our landscape needs. I gotta say upon my first meeting with Rob the owner who came out the day after calling him, I got a great impression and a good feeling he could help and understood how important it was for us to focus on the basics since we were working with a limited budget. There is nothing like the feeling of knowing that things are being taken care of and not having to chase a company or an owner down. Rob and his guys are the best! It feels like every time I thought the grass was due for a cut they would read my mind and just show up to get the job done. The most amazing thing happened after the storm which rocked Fairfield county and left our yard full of tree limbs and branches I was dreading having to call to see when they could fit us in for a cleanup but like usual just a day after the storm Rob came and had the place looking amazing as usual. Don't think twice about calling Rob's Landscaping. They're the best!

We also had…read morea huge, mature tree leaning on our building after a major storm, which had to be removed ASAP. Steve came by to assess several hours after we requested and was able to schedule removal for the next day, astonishingly. We did not see indemnification language in his form proposal (agreement), but were able to have him add us as additional insureds -- and he volunteered to add all adjoining neighbors as well. His policy limits are adequate. And he affirmatively reached out to the school across the street from us to notice them about the large trucks and noise associated with tree removal. It was a huge job, but he and his team were able to complete the work in a single day. Other contractors had told us it would take two days. He and his team were clearly experts at rope work and took down branches without causing damage to the pergola or patio below the tree. They did have to take out our beautiful smaller tree adjoining the large, leaning tree, sadly. This kind of work is expensive -- heart-attack-inducing expensive -- but based on the quotes we received, Steve's pricing is not unreasonable. Very professional company and team, very responsive to questions. We would not hesitate to recommend Steve to anyone who finds themselves in the same unfortunate situation we were in!
