Ran into a slight ant problem. I called LBI Pest control and they came out within a few hours. Long story short my problem was fixed.

I called a few exterminator companies to get an estimate for termite treatment. (I have a small house on LBI that is only about 100 feet around the perimeter.) The first guy I call checks out the house on Google maps, tells me all the stuff he's going to do and comes up with an amount of $1,550 for the job. I tell him that I have other contractors that I contacted to get other bids. He tells me to call him if we get a better price. He later calls on a different number and asks me "what price were you expecting?" The red flags were popping up. I knew the guy wasn't honest. Howard from LBI Pest Control gave me a call a few hours after I spoke with the first guy. He was on the island and came over in person, made some measurements and told me roughly the same thing the first contractor said he was going to do. He was straight forward and honest. His price was $600. Less than 2 weeks later, Howard and his son Carl did the job. Everything went very smoothly and they were both very professional. I highly recommend LBI Pest Control. I love love love this company! We are in LBI and when we opened our home found we had tiny ants. While we know this is not unusual for this area, I refuse to share my home with them. I called Howard and left a message and was shocked that he returned the call so quickly the same day. The very next morning, his wonderful wife Carla came over and got rid of our problem. Howard returned my call promptly and was at my house the next day. He explained the treatment and what to expect re: disappearance of ants. Truly excellent customer service! Howard is a VERY honest person, he came to our home today and told us the problem we had was old damage and didn't need any treatment, when we asked how much we owed him for the visit he said we didn't owe him anything because there were no problems. How wonderful to find a service company that's honest, he could have told us we needed to have our home sprayed for termites and charged us hundreds of dollars but he didn't. Howard was a total pleasure to deal with when we suspected that we had a mouse problem He came quickly, placed mouse traps right away and then came back the next day to seal up any hles that he could find.
