Floor Coverings International Monterey Bay…read more Bernardo and his crew did an outstanding job on my Dad's mobile home in Capitola. They had to remove carpeting that had been installed in 1992. The padding pretty much disintegrated and they had to remove about a 1000 staples. The carpeting was removed in 3 rooms, the large living area, the master bedroom, and a spare bedroom. What was amazing is they finished the job in 2 days ! They then moved all the heavy furniture back in each room. What we can't figure out is how they got those 2 twin sofa sleepers through the door. In any case, if you have any need to install laminate flooring ( we went with LVP with is a higher quality with a moisture barrier ) or any flooring, I would highly recommend Floorings International of Montery. The carpeting was old and smelly, and stained and needed to be removed. There probably was over thousand staples from the padding that had to be removed. Bernardo and his team got the carpet removed and the new floors installed in only 2 days ! Now granted we left the existing floor in the dining room but they had to remove the main living area, a large bedroom, and a smaller bedroom. While my daughter and son in law got all the furniture moved off the floors, they did return and moved the heavy stuff back into each room as directed. They somehow also got 2 twin sofa sleepers inside the living area as directed. They arrived earlier than expected so we gave them the combo to the lock box . When they were done, they locked both doors and put the key back in the lock box. We went with an LVP flooring since that particular brand is moisture proof since we live by the ocean. Asked Oscar to repair a small retaining wall next to the driveway that had a short bulging section…read morecaused by tree roots. In addition, fix the broken concrete at the driveway curb. The fix for the wall was to dig out the soil next to the bowed section, cut back the roots and push the section back into alignment with the rest of the wall, then backfill the dirt. This was in lieu of rebuilding the wall section using new but mismatching cinder blocks. The curb fix involved breaking out the old concrete and replacing with two large rubber curb ramps. The final result ended up very good as can be seen in the photos. There were some snags along the way so this should be a 4.5 star review. Any customer should work closely with Oscar and any hired subcontractor and be present on site or check frequently while the work is being done.
