First, the good: food was excellent! Cheeseburger was solid, but meat a little overdone. However the fries were excellent. Hubs had the pulled pork tacos and they were really good and stuffed with delicious juicy shredded pork. Less than optimal was the facility. Went inside to get menus and to close out- nothing special but we needed to sit on the patio with our pup. "Patio" was erected over a gravel parking lot and there were multiple dog poops out there (not ours!), some wasps (which they know about), a broken patio umbrella laying on its side and all the tables have peeling varnish so can't really be cleaned. Service is part self-serve and part table service and the server was pleasant. Price was fair. $46 for two entrees, a side order chicken breast, and 2 drinks, including tax, tip, and credit card fee. I would definitely go again but I would order ahead as TO GO and eat in my car for better ambience. FYI, surcharge for credit cards. read more

A must stop if you are passing through Alturas. Only two of us so we bought one brisket burger and one pulled pork. We both agreed some of the best we have tasted. Service was quick and the restaurant was spotless. Winter time so no patio seating. The bathroom is outside but clean and warmed with a space heater. We will return. No pictures - we were so hungry! Ok. First. Lavina. Absolutely WONDERFUL! Best service in town with this lady. Next, that spicy cowgirl burger light on bbq sauce because I can't have much sugar. Divine. She added Diablo sauce. Spicy. Not so much I couldn't handle it tho. Hubs had the Diablo. Polished it off in about 4 minutes. French fries. SUPER HOT! So fresh and yummy. Stopped for lunch on a road trip with our dogs. Looking forward to trying their food! We had to sit outside in the heat because of the dogs, and the service was awful! It took 10 minutes for someone to take our order. 15 minutes after placing our order we went inside to check on the status. The waitress who took our order had gone to run an errand for the restaurant, and no one took over for her!. The kitchen had totally lost track of our order so we left. read more

1st time traveling through Alturas Ca. On my way home from Bend, Oregon. Thank you Yelpers! Spot on with your reviews of this nice, very casual BBQ Grill restaurant. I've had pulled pork in every conventional way of being served. But, this was a 1st served in a soft taco. The 2 tacos were filled with ample amazing tasting pulled pork, lettuce, & I even had the jalapeño slices. And I normally don't have jalapeños, which thankfully were mild for my liking. The 2 tacos were a filling lunch for me, without any other sides. This restaurant has it dialed in on their smoking techniques. Likely the best tasting pulled pork I've ever had! If I drive through Alturas again. I will certainly plan a stop at the Lazy B for a meal. read more

Good food, good service, and clean environment. Ambiance is good. It isn't cheap, close to $20 for a burger and fries. The quality was worth it though, in my opinion. Bathroom is around the back, but clean and comfortable. I've been here 3 times passing through and never disappointed. read more

This is my second visit for lunch in the past few weeks. Both times I have been more than impressed. The atmosphere is so great. Casual, rustic, but trendy and cute. Very comfortable. They were busy for a Wednesday, but the service was impeccable. Fast, friendly, refills before my drink was even near empty.... The food is the real showstopper though. Delicious, perfect food. this place use to be great now is awful and a straight up waste of money!!! my burger bun was soaked and burger patty was raw!!! not pink but straight up raw like they just waited 10 second then flipped it. the last time i went here the same thing but gave them another try because it might of been an off day but nope. this place is a joke now and its was actually worse after they attempted to fix my order... there cook can't with nothing but high schoolers running the place... where the f... are there parents and the 5 star ratings are b.s. are very very old and probably from the last owner... this place isnt the same and im surprised the health department hasnt shut it down for unsafe food practice... but probably related to some high up in the community or family has money so the locals allow it... what a joke!!! read more

The place we usually stop on our long road trip was closed. Everyone started crying. No, Mexican food would not do. Looked desperately for another burger place and was pleasantly surprised to see Lazy B around the corner. Super cute, clean place. The entire family ate every bite of these beautiful, delicious burgers and fries.....and they were not small. We are looking forward to the drive home, se we can stop by again. I will be more adventurous and try the Diablo burger (habanero sauce, pepper jack, and jalapeño). Also, the outdoor patio looks to be inviting during the warmer months. read more

I am going to add another 5 star review for this burger place. They have a wide assortment of burgers, and BBQ on their menu, and frankly I'll need to return numerous times to sample everything on the menu. I chose their El Diablo Burger based completely on the written description, and was not disappointed. Their burgers are cooked to 'medium', and their fries are perfect! On this day the service was a tad slow, but the El Diablo burgers were well worth the wait. There is quite a bit of alfresco dining available, but on this day it was a little chilly, and breezy outside, so we ate inside. We prefer alfresco dining, so this place checks all our boxes. read more
