We were seated at the shared table but only one other person was at this large table. The food here is phenomenal. We got the prawns, butter chicken, naan, and roti. The butter chicken was one of the best I've ever had. The prawns were spiced really well and the lemon added a nice sour flavor. The naan was also super soft. I was impressed by the service as well. They took the time to explain the menu to us. When the roti came out a bit cold, they brought us a new one and offered us a voucher to return. Really amazing people running this place. Will absolutely return when I'm in London again.

We got the following: - Dishoom Margarita - Baba's Sesame Espresso Martini - Dishoom House Chaat: this was an explosion of flavour! Had the sweetness of the pomegranate but also sour from the yogurt and spicy! Definitely recommend this one as a starter. 9/10 - Chicken Ruby: Dishoom's take on traditional butter chicken. Very deep flavour on this and less spicy than the other items we ordered, if you are sensitive to spice you will like this one. 8/10 - Garlic Naan: our choice of vehicle for the chicken ruby! 8/10 - Nalli Nihari Biryani: This was the star of the show and is the chef's Kensington special - only at this location! It is a lamb biryani served in a puff pastry. The waiter (kudos to Rosario) can cut it open for you and is served with sauce, onion, and yogurt on the side. Serves 2, so make sure you come hungry! 9/10 - Dishoom Chocolate Pudding: This is served with a Kashmiri chili ice cream. Super delicious and very unique. I might entertain a chili oil ice cream in the future because of this. 7/10 This was our first night in London and we were not disappointed! Worth the hype!

Traditional and simple in design with table clothes and wallpaper that has probably been there since it opened it is a great place to sink a few cobra's and tuck into your favourite Indian dish. All the normal Indian dishes are on offer and they have a few house specials of the tandoori variety. Something for everyone on the basis that you like Indian food. If I were to be negative in any way the prices seen to have crept up of late and a couple of times recently the service wasn't up to it normal standard. Hopefully this is a temporary glitch and they will soon return to being the best in Chiswick. Expect to pay circa £30 for two - takeaway service also available if you want an Indian in front of the box.

Yummy Indian comfort food. The only place around Chiswick to rely on for good Indian food. Love…read moretheir Murgh Tikka Biryani. We have been there twice and I loved both my experiences. The second time we were there, I ordered the Murgh Tikka Biryani again as I had loved it the first time. It tasted completely different but I loved this version as well. Don't think such inconsistencies are a good thing though. I was just plain lucky I liked this version. Otherwise, the other dishes on the menu are good. The lamb biryani, the dal, the accompaniment that comes with the biryani is great; albeit very Bengali. The Tandoori Murgh is well plated but lacks punch; can be made more succulent. Staff is nice and warm. The ambiance can do with a serious makeover and so can their music playlist. Big plus - they do home deliveries around the area. Overall, this is the only place in a 3-km radius where I would go for Indian food.

I felt sure I'd written this review already, but can't find it, so here it goes again!…read more Taste Of Raj is my local Indian restaurant and Takeaway, and it's a real little gem of a place, one of the best kept secrets in Chiswick. It deserves your support and your business, as it is so tucked out of the main trawl that it seems a bit quite at times. I have eaten in the restaurant and picked up a takeaway from there. From the outside it looks a bit off putting as it has darkened glass. I wish they would change this as it makes it look uninviting. However, once inside, you won't regret it. The one thing I really like about TOR is the service. The waiter is always really friendly, opening the door, taking your coat etc. They also have a bring your own booze policy, and you don't have to pay a corkage fee which is excellent! They have a note on their menu that if there is something you want that isn't listed, the chef will be able to prepare it for you, which is a great asset! I love the Lamb Korma, and Chicken Passanda. The naan breads are always fresh and so yummy, and the mango lassi they sell is delicious! If you are waiting for a takeaway, they give you complimentary poppadums and there are lots of newspapers for you to peruse while you wait. Not only that, but the waiter opens the door for you on your way out. Recently (in this little parade of 8 or so shops) another Indian restaurant has opened a few doors down. The other restaurant is much more expensive, but it's decor is fresh and modern. I can't help but feel a bit sorry for TOR as it has been here for a very very long time, but I think that they should try and up their gain and have a bit of a makeover too.getting rid of the dark windows would be a start!
