Sean came out and talked to our HOA and assessed the situation. It was proven that Sean and his crew followed all the guideline and rules set forth by our HOA. I hired Jeremy, the owner of TLC, to remove three large trees from my property. Jeremy showed up on…read moretime for the estimate and seemed well-spoken and knowledgeable. Although TLC wasn't the cheapest estimate, I decided to go with them anyway. It was stated in the contract that I would keep all the wood, and the crew would cut it into 16"-20" pieces and stack it. On the day of the removal, the crew showed up two hours late with no phone call or text. I was nervous that they weren't going to show up, so I called Jeremy to touch base. The crew finally arrived, and I went to my neighbor's place just down the street. A few hours later, I saw two trucks leaving my lot loaded with two large tree trunks worth hundreds of dollars in hardwood. I confronted Tom, the site foreman, and he said, "I didn't think you would mind." and said he would "knock a few bucks off the price". I called Jeremy, and he apologized for his crew stealing the wood. He said this has never happed before. While we did come to a discounted price, in retrospect, I should have filed a police report. If you hire TLC, keep a very close eye on their crew. They are obviously not trustworthy. If they were willing to steal from me, it's possible that they have done the same to other customers as well.

After finally having time to work on my property he said he 'had to go work on other projects now as its taken too long'. Meaning he wanted to prioritize other jobs and would rather piss me off, than to piss them off. Fine. I wanted to part ways amicably, but then he told me how much he was going to refund my deposit for. The deposit was $26k. He said he made a path to the site on property, and made the sand mound. He claimed it was fully approved by the SEO and thus his work was worth $17k. I found a new septic installer, got a quote, then told them the sand mound was completely done. They started work, and refunded me $4k, stating the SEO was not happy, and they had to get more loads of sand delivered. All I know for sure is that Josh 1. Delayed my project with excuse after excuse. 2. Bailed on it eventually, stating he had too much work on his docket. (showing his excuses were garbage to begin with, he simply took on too much work) 3. Lied about the state of the work he had done. 4. Did not refund me an adequate amount. Even assuming the new septic installer over-charged me, more than 4X the price of the work? unlikely. When I asked for an accounting of the $17k work, he refused to send it. When I asked him why the new installer claimed it was only $4k of work, he said they were lying. When I told him the SEO said the sand mound was not correct as he had claimed, he ghosted me. It seems to me he took on too much work, then instead of making things right, lied about the state of work, and under-refunded me.

I hired Mike & Angel to repair the front porch/deck of my grandfather's home that I inherited, along with repairs to a deteriorating chimney. Attaching a "before" picture along with the finished product to show just how bad it was. They were responsive regarding my options and the different price points for each. The price for the work was very reasonable and well below some other numbers that I heard thrown around. Bulk of the work was done in one day, with touch ups and such done the following day as they lost daylight (which is completely understandable). Were also very responsive when I noticed something that was missed - went up the same day and corrected the issue along with doing the touch ups. All in all, good guys that did great work for a reasonable price!
