I found LAX Airport Express while searching the internet. The website (http://www.airportexpressshuttle.com/rates.htm) advertised it was $45 for the first rider from LAX to San Pedro cruise terminal with each additional passenger an additional $5. I had a total of 8 people (4 adults and 4 children) for a total of $80. The driver was on-time and arrived in an old white 10 passenger van. The interior was old and the ride to San Pedro terminal was awkward. There was no A/C, no music, just the noise of the road as we drove toward the terminal. Once we arrived, the driver told me "$80" so I paid with my credit card. I tipped the driver $10. The following week, the same driver picked us up to bring us back to LAX. It was the same quiet ride in the same van back to LAX. The driver again said "$80". I told him I was going to pay by cash and the driver said it was now "$104". WTF?!?! I asked him I thought he said it was $80. He said it was plus an additional $24 for tax and tip. What?? Tax and tip?? I told him nowhere did it state on his website that tax and tip was going to be added so I asked him what about when he first picked us up to bring us to San Pedro if he charged us "tax and tip"? He stated yes it was added to my credit card charge. Really?? without telling me?? Anyways, this is the reason why I rated this company two stars...for the misleading pricing and for the outdated van. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more
