I used Val's service after a head-on collision in Clovis, Ca…read more The very first red flag, I was in a lot of pain from the accident... Val has an office that is not conducive to serving folks in pain. The benches in his office were bamboo, with lightly padded seats. Very hard to sit on for as long as we had to. Especially after an accident. His wife was constantly moving around the office, and very unfriendly. At one point during the process, I brought all bills and notices into the office so that they were on record. Val's wife told me they didn't need them; that they get copies of everything, and nothing is over looked. I ended up paying my ambulance bill out of pocket because Val's office over looked it. Horrible experience, Horrible attorney. Val got me the worst case scenario of a settlement.

Save your time, money, and emotional energy and look elsewhere…read more I scheduled and paid for a consultation with Susan hoping for guidance during a difficult co-parenting situation. Instead, I experienced one of the most uncomfortable professional consultations I have ever had. She entered the room without greeting or acknowledging me and immediately came across as cold and dismissive. I had prepared notes and questions, but she repeatedly interrupted and focused on a single comment instead of listening to the full context of why I was there. The overall tone felt condescending and completely lacking in empathy. Within about 15 minutes I felt so unheard and uncomfortable that I ended the consultation early. Family law matters are already stressful and vulnerable. Clients deserve patience, professionalism, and basic respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

My family's interactions with this attorney during matters related to my 92-year-old grandmother's…read moresurvivor trust were a very difficult experience for us. My grandmother had created a trust that allowed her to manage and use her assets during her lifetime in accordance with her own wishes. After she passed away, discussions arose during the administration process suggesting that some of her financial decisions may have been improper or unnecessary. From our family's perspective, we were not presented with documentation or clear supporting information that explained or substantiated those concerns. Hearing those types of statements about my grandmother after her passing was deeply upsetting to our family. She lived a long and honorable life, and because she is no longer here to explain the reasoning behind her financial decisions, it was painful to hear her judgment questioned in that context. The administration process also became longer and more complicated than our family had expected. As time went on, the prolonged nature of the matter created additional stress and increased expenses for our family during what was already an emotionally difficult period following the loss of our grandmother. Estate administration is often sensitive and emotionally charged for families. In my opinion, situations involving elderly individuals and their financial decisions should be handled with particular care and professionalism, especially when the individual is no longer able to speak for themselves. Clear documentation and respectful communication can make a significant difference for families navigating the loss of a loved one. I understand that attorneys must advocate for their clients and represent their client's interests. However, from our family's perspective, the overall experience made an already difficult time more challenging than it needed to be. This review reflects my family's personal experience during the administration of my grandmother's trust and the impact the process had on us.

When we needed legal paperwork done we didn't know where to go. We were given Kari's info and made…read morean appointment. She was located in the back of another business which we thought odd but when we sat with her, discussing what we needed, what she'd need to do and we decided to move forward, she then told us the cost. We we're like wait, what?! How could she possibly charge so little?! She told us because she's in the back of another business her overhead was low enabling her to pass along the savings to us and charge less! We got past the location real fast lol. Kari is very personable, friendly and very knowledgeable. She processed our paperwork quickly and everything was legal in about 2wks, start to finish. It's been 2yrs and she has handled many different legal issues and documents for us with all the precision of any attorney. I say this often but it's so true in almost every situation but you get what you pay for and for me, I get the very best every single time Kari has done work for me. Now, with this all said, someone might think I want a real attorney with a real office not someone in the back of another business. Well, I say you go right ahead and pay for all that overhead. For me if I can get the same thing accomplished for probably a fraction of the price, I'm going to keep that money I didn't spend on a fancy location in MY pocket and not someone else's. Kari is the real deal and we wouldn't go anywhere else.
