In several instances, I was repeatedly told that the attorney was "in a meeting," while staff members appeared to be casually socializing throughout the office. The environment did not reflect the level of professionalism or attentiveness I expected from a law firm. Retained Mr. Turney in 2020 to help me domesticate a divorce decree from Wisconsin to Florida. He…read morehad no problem taking my 900.00. Then he requested a certified copy of my divorce decree and settlement agreement. I did not have these documents. Instead of obtaining them he continuously avoided my phone calls and emails and lied to me about the status of my case, stating that he was just waiting for a court date. I kept track of the Lee County Clerk of Court website and could see that this was not true. I kept asking him what was needed to complete my case. I threatened to go to the Florida Bar regarding his behavior. He threatened that he would no longer represent me and then completely abandoned my case. He withdrew and finally put forth a case, fraudulently stating that he had been working for me. I did contact the Florida Bar and sent proof of his horrible business practices. I am not the only one. He has been fighting since 2022 to keep his license. There are at least 4 other people who have reported him. The bar referee has recommended a two year suspension of his license, along with monetary penalties. He is still fighting this. The bar had to move on these cases and did not wish to wait because there are even more pending in the wings. DO NOT RETAIN HIM!!!! His website states that , he will come to you, where ever you are. Well, not a surprise, in looking up his address, its a virtual office, not only that but the virtual office address he gives does not list his business as a member. He advertises representation with frugal prices. Well frugal prices are worthless if there is no representation. These events and allegations are completely my opinion and from my actual experience. I have testified in front of the Florida Bar and I will do so again if it will keep this man from doing this to another unsuspecting person. Supreme Court Case No SC24-1790
