Mine was an accident case. I am happy to hear that others have had good experiences…read more Unfortunately, after 8 months of rehab due to my injuries, and because my car was broadsided and hit on the axel, and the airbags did not go off, my whiplash, neck and back injuries never went away after 8 months of every kind of rehab possinle. Finally, Cardinal Law scheduled an MRI. The MRI showed a concussion and three budging discs in my neck and one in my lower back. PRP failed. My surgeon said, "surgery is the only thing to elevate these issues. That was early July. The surgery had to be done in a hospital due to my age. I begged for surgery for 6 months. Nothing. I was offered $16,000 to walk. Cardinal Law sent to an 8-hour defense appointment (I was never told the time involved) with the defense neuropsychology Dr. without representation by Cardinal Law. After that, defense offered me $70,000.00 to walk. But no surgery and no compensation for work I missed, hours of rehab. Cardinal thought that was a great offer. I found David, a new accident attorney. Cardinal Law sent him my file. They saw the pain I was in. They were shocked I had been walking around for over a year after my accident in that kind of pain. Fortunately, my new attorney sent me to Mt. Sinai. My new surgeon did several tests, did an MRI, and accepted me for surgery. He said of the three on my neck, two should be done immediately. We scheduled surgery for the following week. I told my new attorney. Then my new lawyer found a document dated October 17, 2025. Cardinal Law had signed with the defense stating I could not have surgery for 60 days after I informed the defense team. Cardinal Law NEVER sent me that document. Now I can't have surgery until April 17th. I was paddleboarding in 2024. I was doing yoga three times a week. My neck pain is so bad, I can't bend over to put on my shoes due to painful headaches. I am dealing with pain when I try to turn my head. I have trouble sleeping. Pain is going down my arm due to the bulges and sit on a nerve, and down my right leg due to the buldge in my lower back. I only gave them one-star becasue I had no choice.

I have had the pleasure of working with Stephen Schahrer Esq. on many cases. The thing I like best…read moreabout Stephen is he is a litigator and his thinking if superior in how he approaches his cases. Legal work is a tough area that we as businesspeople are forced to attention and approaching it as it is written in the law does not lend to success in your case work. The key to a greater understanding and approach to tough cases is to add the human element into the decisions and this is done by understanding the argument that will be presented in front of the courts. Further the determination of your case and if it should be a jury trial or a single opinion as a judge. Once you see these arguments as they will come together in real life allows you to make the proper decisions as the plaintiff or defendant in any case. Since most cases do not reach this point, the potential argument is critical in setting the perception of the opposing council long before you enter the costly expense as felt in the farther progression in the case. Stephen sees the argument in advance, understands the law and presents it to you for a clarity that allows you to either take the risk or remove yourself from a case without an upside potential of your projected benefit. If he does not know, he will seek the advice. Large fees for the legal team's education are not a path I ever would suggest. This is not Stephen's approach.
