The second time I had the pleasure of working with a lady who was light years removed from her coworker In terms of social skills, but who sent me home with the wrong wattage of bulb, despite having written the receipt correctly. It was silly of me not to have double checked after my first experience, I will admit, but nonetheless, I won't be back. Supporting local business is important, but I stop short of supporting poor customer service.

They were responsive on Yelp with Request-A-Quote, and while a notch higher than some others, I figured what the hell. They could have someone out same day and the reviews looked great. The tech was later than expected (4-6 p.m. window and arrived closer to 6:30) which wasn't ideal as we had sat down to dinner. Fortunately the job was small and he was quick to handle it. To me it's a lot like calling a plumber; it's going to cost you, but you know it's going to be done right. Galvin seemed professional in how they booked and assigned the electrician. Not every service company can say the same. Hopefully won't need them again, like, ever, but if so I would recommend them and go with them again.

I wanted an electrician to hook up the power line I had run from my house to the garage. I had an…read moreelectrician tell me that because the crawl space was inaccessible, the only way to do it was to open up the drywall in the laundry room. That electrician suggested I splice into the bathroom circuit. By chance, I saw a Hemel electric truck a block away so I called the phone number and Craig came over. He said he could connect up the wire and fish it through the crawl space to the breaker box and give the garage it's own circuit. HE DID! And he performed this in under two hours. The fee was very reasonable. These guys are honest, hard working and willing to do what the other electricians won't.
