I was slightly worried to go to him given I had an issue and the only recommendation was from strangers online. I've been burned before but this time .... drumroll.... winner! Dr. Hiatt is thorough, careful, clearly knows his craft and is gentle to boot. He will answer all your questions (very unusual) and even laugh at your jokes while making a few of his own. My kind of Dr. !! If you need a competent podiatrist, Dr. Hiatt is my suggestion!

When I moved from Daly City to San Ramon and in the middle of really painful ankle issues, I could no longer trek from E. Bay to Peninsula. I was referred to my 2nd podiatrist who was dismissive and very nonchalant with my care. Enter Dr. Hiatt. I consulted him to see if my lingering ankle pain required surgery. Our meeting with him was very thorough with his exam; he welcomed & thoroughly answered any and all questions we had; and he has a kind and friendly demeanor and bedside manner. Ultimately i necessitated surgery. At surgery time he visited me beforehand to check in with me, then right before going in to surgery he took more time with me to calm me down. Post-surgery he took time to explain his discoveries to my husband and he was the first face I saw upon waking up from anesthesia. Always kind, always warm and caring. Thus far I've felt in good hands with Dr. Hiatt. I still miss my 1st DPM (Dr. Dobbs) but I'm very confident and at ease and happy with my new east bay DPM: Dr. Hiatt. If you need a podiatrist in the east bay, go to Dr. Hiatt. It's rare finding a doctor who genuinely cares, intelligent, and has great bedside manner and takes his time with patients, but Dr. Hiatt has is one of those rare finds. Now let's see how I recover after my surgery...

I was a little skeptical of all the 5-star reviews. But after my first session with Dr. Vijayakumar…read more(aka Dr. V) today, I'm enthusiastically joining the 5-star parade. In less than 30 minutes, Dr. V listened to me, examined my foot, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He carefully cut out some deep and very hard callouses (caused by a lot of hiking in fairly rough terrain), with the immediate result that I could walk without pain or a limp for the first time in weeks. Just as importantly, he gave me a lot of practical advice about various things I can do to prevent a recurrence. And he assured me that, if there is a recurrence, I can readily schedule another appointment with him to fix it again. I only wish all medical problems were this fixable, and all medical practitioners were this competent. Hooray for Dr. V!!! I enthusiastically recommend him for treatment of your foot problems.

My dad is 82 and needs his toenails clipped regularly. He missed his last appt so today his nails were super long. Dr. Huey is incredibly patient and gentle and isn't (visibly) grossed out by my dad's feet and fungus issues. The staff here are also very friendly. I love Dr. Huey's shoe collection. It's much bigger here than the Berkeley office. He says patients just keep giving him shoes. There's some beautiful glass ones, enamel, a recent one from Thailand. And he's not a shoe snob either, there's plastic wind up shoes in the collection too.

He was able to provide me with all the information and knowledge I needed for my foot problem. He is kind and caring and a funny guy. He keeps a positive attitude towards everything. He recently did surgery on my foot and so far it's going good. I hope recovery goes by fast. He was able to help me get all my work forms filled out and sent off to my job so that I wouldn't have to worry about all the days I will be having to miss due to my procedure. He has 2 offices. One in Walnut creek and another one in Brentwood . He is flexible when it comes to having to schedule appointments. His staff is very nice at the Brentwood office. Staff at the walnut creek office might need just a little help on being a bit more friendlier. I didn't experience a problem personally but one of the girls gave my mom a hard time when she needed paperwork for my job. Other than that, the offices are both clean and welcoming . I would definitely recommend Dr. Scivally to anyone who needs a foot doctor. I will definitely be returning for any of my foot problems with Dr. Scivally.

Persistent Knee Pain After Multiple Surgeries…read more Last year, I underwent my first arthroscopy and partial meniscectomy with a different doctor at Golden State Orthopedics. Due to ongoing pain in my right knee after that initial surgery, I was referred to Dr. Elrashidy. Dr. Elrashidy initially recommended extensive physical therapy, and I completed at least 30 sessions. However the pain did not resolve, leading us to pursue a second surgery for Hoffa's Pad removal. It has now been three months since this second procedure, and I am still experiencing the same level of pain I had before the surgery. Concerns Regarding Post-Surgical Care Following my second surgery, I've had three follow-up sessions. However, Dr. Elrashidy has been absent from all of these appointments; his Physician Assistant (PA) has attended in his place. Dr. Elrashidy had assured me he would help manage my knee pain, but I feel he has become disengaged since the surgery. This situation is extremely frustrating.
