I've had lawn and trimmer service on my yard, will likely request a side yard cleanup and tree service as well. It is worth the cost for the peace of mind of knowing it will be done well. I signed up for weekly service. My first servicer, Joshua, no call/no showed for the second service on Monday. The second servicer, John, confirmed service for today, and also no call/no showed. My lawn is rapidly growing due to the rain, and I in no way want to pay additional fees, when your company has failed to show up twice. Was told my request was being expidited but would go quicker if i boosted my payment. After another 4hrs, now getting dark I texted again and was told the same thing. Don't tell people they will receive services that they will never receive unless they pay more money than the quoted price. I waited 8 hours with no communication. Except the two texts I initiated. by the next morning, with still no service or communication I canceled the request. Now that everyone was going to be late for work because we couldn't get out of our driveway, I ended up having to call someone else, they were at my house within 2 hours and it was cheaper. I received an email that someone named Zacarias accepted my job for a one time mowing. He arrived but never came to the front door. I saw him walk around and take a look then he left. Shortly after I received another email that said "Your Provider Zacarias has released your One-Time Mowing job" which means he refused the job. This has got to be the worst lawncare service I've ever dealt with in my life. I signed up for biweekly service and ended up with HOA violations because my grass wasn't being cut like it was supposed to. I've been calling every day for the last two weeks and can't get a single call back. I was told I was under "ASAP" status and that someone would come out immediately--nobody ever showed up. On top of that, the times they did show up, the tools they used left my grass looking patchy, uneven, and raggedy. It looked worse than before they touched it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt more times than I should have, but it's clear they don't care about their customers or their work. Save yourself the headache. BAIT AND SWITCH. Created an account on their website and was quoted $34.65 on February 5th, in which I agreed to and entered my credit card information. On March 12th, I logged in to begin service and my quote jumped 152% to $52.84!!!? (I'm glad I took screen shots...) Their response? "After the billing team reviewed costs and demand, we had to make a significant price increase this year to keep up with rising gas and labor expenses while maintaining our quality! In order to get repairs made, I needed to find three people willing to do the work, the cost of which fell just below my homeowners insurance minimum, and then LawnGuru would reimburse the lawn service instead of paying me directly. My lawnmower broke down and I needed a small area of about 20×20 (approximately) cut spread out amongst 3 sections of my yard. So I called these guys. The lady I spoke with told me that she would look at at satellite image of my property and quote me. She then sent me the image of the entire property and asked me to circle where I needed the cut. I had no idea how to do anything with the picture she sent me. I don't have edit software and I was born in an era without this type of technology, so I called back confused. She said I need to do this and that and then send it back to her. I told her it was only a 20×20 area around the house. She kept insisting that I do something to the picture. I finally called my grandson and asked for help. He circled 3 areas close to the house (as I tend to cut in a circular pattern starting far away from the house and moving inward) and showed me how to send the picture back. She responded with half of my land circled and quoted me $90. I had not even circled the lawn on the fourth side of the house (but she had it circled when she sent the picture back to me). I was exasperated. I had already gotten quotes from several other companies in the area and for the portion I needed cut, the estimates were all under $50. They'll say it's because the grass was too long. But someone else from LawnGuru cut it a week prior. And you don't realize it until it hits your credit card. I love how easy it is to use the app. I've got a snow removal company I use but they only do it when we get more than 3". So for everything else I use LawnGuru- app. I can pick when to have them come and if I want sidewalks or driveway salted You can also pick pet friendly ice melt. Once you select the boundary for driveway and sidewalk it saves the info so the next time you just select your service I immediately get the price Then I get notified when someone accepts the job, when they are on the way and when the job is complete They even send pic showing job is complete read more
