Atlanta Firearms Training - Firearms instructor teaching how to safely store ammunition

I just finished taking the long range rifle I course. Instructors were Brian and John. They were…read moreprofessional, organized, knowledgeable, and I really enjoyed both the first day in class course and the second day range outing. These guys are top notch, and their instruction is suited to those who are beginners all the way to very experienced. Their understanding of ballistics proved particularly insightful for this course, and while I have a long way to go, this was a great introduction to this category, and I am very appreciative to Brian and John.

I recently took the all female basic pistol course with AFT. There were 6 of us in the class, and…read morethe maximum class size is 12 so that everyone gets the necessary attention. I very much appreciated the small class size because it gave us more time to answer questions and for hands-on practice. Susan was our instructor, and she was great. She was both patient and eager with our questions, and quick to give a real life examples of the technical information provided. The two day course is perfect. The classroom day is heavy on safety and pistol knowledge. I thought that I wouldn't want all that information, but all of it was worthwhile. I ended that day comfortable with how a pistol works, how to handle misfires and hangfires, and how to safely grip and handle a pistol. I was initially nervous on the gun range day, but Tom, Susan and Michelle were so great - patient and encouraging. We were able to handle a variety of pistols and shot seated, standing with both hands and standing using one hand at a time. If found shooting oddly relaxing, and I zoned out a few times when shooting multiple shots at a time. I wanted to shoot more and if I'd had a gun, I could have. So if you have a gun, bring it with you (unloaded of course) and they'll work with you on your grip and shooting methods with it. It was hard to use so much of a weekend for this course (9:00-4:00 on Saturday and 8:30-2:00 on Sunday), but it was so, so worth it. Yelp 100 #60

About a week ago I was working in the very front of my shop and I then noticed movement upstairs of my facility. Then I soon could here someone saying "hello is there anyone in here " in a professionally demanding tone. The gentleman quickly responded to my voice notifying them that this was my storage area and thankfully because of I believe his name is Mr. Christopher Harper he had told me that he was apart of the properties new reformed Security detail by tnr the name of Defense and Awareness Security services. He advised me that during his patrol he noticed that my back entire door was left wide open and unsecured in which I had totally forgotten about and was nearly about to leave from my shop. But because of Mr. Christopher Harper (prior U.S. Marine) he had told me and his superb engagement with professionalism responding to the matter at hand without hesitation and sound judgment he literally saved my shop from being possibly infiltrated. People like Mr. Christopher Harper belongs on any given shifts that this security company has available because he exemplifies the perfect example of what a security officer should carryout their duties. Thank you Defense and Awareness Security for hiring such a upstanding gentleman protecting and guarding the customers properties. When the company changed ownership, my account was sold to ADT without my knowledge. I only found out when I started receiving bills from a different company. When I contacted ADT (my "new company") to ask what was going on, the explanations were vague. Eventually, I received an email saying Ackerman was still operating and encouraging me to switch back. Because I'd had several issues with ADT in the past, I decided to return to Ackerman. Terrible mistake. Basically Ackerman sold my account and then convinced me to buy it back. The representative that came to my home, Natalie, told me I needed a new control panel and other replacement equipment, to the tune of around $1,000. I was also advised not to cancel ADT until an Ackerman tech came out to activate my service, which meant I had to pay both companies for the same month. On top of that, Ackerman charged me two weeks before my service agreement was even scheduled to begin. It's been several months and Natalie (who was supposed to be my point person for Ackerman) will not reposed to me inquires. Based on my experience, if your account has already been transferred to ADT, I would recommend staying put. For me, it wasn't worth the extra cost or frustration.
