Visited family in Dunstable this week. Was looking for high end florist with unique arrangement for delivery today. (Ordered Wednesday evening. Either nearby Nashua NH florists wouldn't deliver in Mass even though only a few miles away, or another florist only wanted to do weddings or another didn't have a full website allowing ordering or another just had 75 pics of "flowers in vase". Declining quality, dismissive response to problems, and management apparently doesn't care. I have been buying from Lavender for a long time - probably just about as long as they have been open, and have been pretty happy. To be fair, I know zip about flowers, but I have been happy because the flowers I bought from Lavender made my wife happy. Not so much now. In Feb I bought a Valentine's day bouquet which basically died at home within a couple of days, and my wife was not happy. This Mother's Day I bought a bouquet, and while it was being assembled I mentioned the fate of the previous bouquet and the reply I got back was a dismissive "well, we don't really have any control over the flowers we get from our suppliers". Wow! My immediate thought was to wonder exactly what the heck was their value-added if they didn't even care about the quality of their materials, if they had even considered alternative suppliers, but civility conquered pique and I refrained. The bouquet was nice, and my wife really liked it. Smiles all around. However, she pointed out obvious signs of stress on the flowers, and within a couple of days they were definitely on a premature downhill slope. Her comment was "for the money you spent on these things, go to Idylwilde Farms and you will get a better bouquet, higher quality and cheaper. Just for the record, each of these were modest, but not bargain-basement bouquets, at around $55 each. So if they don't care about their quality, I'm not going to beat my head against a stone, and I will be taking my middle-of-the-road flower trade elsewhere. Maybe they can spend the time they would have spent assembling substandard bouquets for me looking for a better wholesale supplier. read more

Their prices are on par with the other local shops. The arrangement that was received was true to the picture/description and absolutely perfect! I am so happy that I found Lavenders for my wedding flowers! All of the arrangements were absolutely beautiful and Lisa was superb to work with. We met to discuss my ideas for the flowers a few months before the wedding and she took my thoughts and created such vibrant, wild arrangements that were more than i could ever have hoped for. I had told I was dreaming about a cornucopia as a center piece and she completely blew with me away with the result. All the flowers and added fruit and vegetables as well as the basket itself were just beautiful, and you could really see how much time and effort she put into each and every arrangement. We had a simple circle archway for our ceremony and Lisa attached the most lovely arrangements to it with ease and it was just stunning.  The wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres were elegant, funky and seasonal and just a dream for photos. Communicating with Lisa was very easy and she is very friendly. Everything was fairly priced and was delivered to 2 locations which was a huge help and Lisa set everything up for us. In 2020 I booked my sons rehearsal dinner at the Groton Inn and walked across the street to Lavender to inquire about centerpieces. I was gruffly greeted by a woman there and told she was too busy. I was taken aback and said I thought maybe we could set something up and I got her card. I emailed numerous times and received a reply finally with ideas of what she could do. I told her what I liked and waited for more info from her. Called and sent a few unanswered emails. The wedding got pushed off to June 2022 due to Covid. I tried again. Sent the last email in March which went unanswered and I gave up. Arranged something else for centerpieces and received a response to my March email in June, a few days before the wedding. I didn't respond. Ironically the brides family was able to get a hold of her to do the wedding. The flowers were pretty. Whatever. read more

Lavender ended up being the florist that my husband and I used for our wedding. It came at the recommendation of my now-mother-in-law, and worked out pretty well. The arrangements we decided on included lots of cream and white flowers of all different varieties, with blush accents. We also had some succulents added in, as well. My bouquet was lovely, as were those of my bridesmaids; the boutonnieres were also very simple and sweet. My mother-in-law was largely in charge of the flowers, and requested that Lavender create six large arrangements-- one for each of the six large windows in the church-- comprised of different flowers representing the mothers and grandmothers on each side of our families. They looked lovely! Everything was delivered on time and in good condition to the correct locations. All in all, Lavender came through, creating lovely arrangements for us, and working hard to suit everyone's visions. read more

I would love to give this a 4-5 star rating, but the owner is nasty. I've observed her belittling her workers in front of customers, and ranting from her perch in back about (insert topic). It's so cramped, you can't even walk to the counter without bumping into something. There are other local options for beautiful flowers. read more

Beautiful centerpiece from Lavender! I called to make a custom order for my Mom for Christmas, and they created exactly what I asked for plus some. All of this with delivery for $70. I like that they even used nice, thick candles rather than those chincy skinny, waxy-looking ones. I have used other florists that have charged me more for less. I was recently married and used Lavender's for my flowers. I can't say enough good things! The flowers were absolutely beautiful. Lisa was very friendly and wonderful to work with. Every time we left her shop, we felt at ease that we were in good hands. She even went out of her way to get us a different type of candle for the tables that she knew would match our flowers and gave us ideas on other things such as linens. I was in awe when I saw the arrangements and our flowers to hold. Everyone loved the flowers and whenever I show pictures people ask about them. We also used Lavender's for my bridal shower and again the flowers were beautiful. Everyone in the store was also very helpful and warm. And VERY reasonable too!! Completely disappointed with my experience, would never go back. We ordered our flowers 10 days in advance and gave them a dress swatch to personalize the boutonniere. When we arrived to pick up the order, it was no where to be found. One of the employees remembered making it and commented on how wonderful it turned out. After standing around searching for a long time, it was decided to make a new one. There was a very limited selection of flowers available so not only did the flowers not match the dress the petals were brown before being pinned onto the tux. It was completely embarrassing. I understand mistakes happen, but there was no contingency plan in place to take care of a customer when a problem occurs that they created! read more
