I love this place. It is so cute. Feels like I'm at my cousin's house. Very small and quaint. People are nice and drinks are fire. I will come back

Ask the Community - Lavender Blue

Is this a good place for a pre-concert meal? Is it walkable from The Forum?

    Yes

Does anyone know if they play live music on Friday nights still?

Yes on special occasions. Sunday is the main music day.

I just want to listen to a live blues band but I'm not sure if it's open to the public or just private events. Can one just dance here?

Lavender Blue is open to the public as well as provides services for private events. If you go to their website lavenderbluela.com, you can sign up for their free "VIP" and receive emails of events or simply check their website for events.

Is there ever a cover to see the live bands?

Not on Sundays. "Special events" might require a cover.

Ordered the Napa Salad with chicken -- it was a decent salad with crunchy croutons. Also order the duo dip with warm tortilla chips. The pimento cheese dip was really good. Did not order from the bar this time, but looked good like they have a great selection of liquor to choose from. The service was meh -- once we received our food, the wait staff never stopped by to check if we needed anything else nor refill our beverage. Also waited for at least ten minutes after we were finished eating before having to flag down the wait staff for the bill. Be sure to get your parking ticket validated. Also the pricing is a bit high -- not as affordable for a lunch menu.

From the second we walked in, the bartender was all smiles and super friendly. It had that true local bar feel--lots of regulars, casual chatter, and a vibe that just felt easy. Yes, the music was a little loud at first, but after a bit, it blended into the background and actually added to the energy of the place. We ordered wings (multiple sets, because one round was not enough) and a burger with fries. Let me tell you--the lemon pepper wings deserve their own standing ovation. Crispy, tangy, and absolutely addictive. The burger and fries? Spot on comfort food. To top it off, it was comedy night. I went from cheering for the Dodgers to full-on belly laughs in the same night. Bonus points for having nonalcoholic options--I had a Heineken 0.0 dressed, and it was perfect. My guy was happy with his drinks too, so win-win. Honestly, this place turned into one of those fun, random experiences you don't plan but end up remembering. A few minutes later she comes back with a water jug and two cups. She sets it at our table. I pour some into my cup. She turns around... Her: Did you just take water from this jug? Me: Yes! Her: That wasn't for you. That's for this table next to you. Me: oh, we were here first so I thought this was ours. (We had been there 3 hours by then, never got water) Her: it wasn't but you can have it. You good. Me: Ok no YOU'RE good. Her: no, YOU good. She walks off. I was having so much fun before that. Now im just pissed. Looking around, we were the only table without water. However, I have heard on SoFi Stadium event days (and the soon to be open Intuit Dome), parking prices at the structure are the same as SoFi, which is an arm & a leg. I had an enjoyable evening attending the Hollywood & Wine night at The Raise Lounge in Hollywood Park Casino. While the buffet left me wanting more, and the sound didn't provide the highest quality for the featured musical act, I had fun. Hopefully, the staff reads this & takes to heart my suggestions.

The vibe/ Experience : Cosm is definitely where I see movies and entertainment going. Cheers to the dev team that did all the graphic surrounding the movie you did an amazing job. my favorite set was the chess by far!!! This was definitely an amazing experience, and we can wait till yall get the next movie going because me and my wife enjoyed this immersive experience so much. My wife loves Harry Potter as she brought me into that world and I saw her inner child come out watching it. Let me know when you get lord of the rings going btw lol. They show a preview of watching other movies , and live sports with cameras angles that make you feel like your right there at the event and it was really great. I would not pay $75 to go watch a ducks game there but if they had like a $25 charge to watch a sports game there you would make a killing off food, alcohol and if you have swag there's a lot of great opportunity there. The service: was really great Carlos was our host and he was honestly amazing, me and my wife were just getting over a cold and we had asked for hot water with lemon and he made sure we had all we needed. He did his best to check in while being busy. The food: so I was surprised here... usually food in these theaters is meh... the wings, the streak sandwich and the espresso brownie !! It was all very delicious. The wings buffalo sauce was nice and tangy, the winds still had a crisp to them , the steak sando had good balance to it with the meat (which was prepped to med rare perfectly) the aioli was delicious. That espresso brownie!!!! Yes please lol. One thing I wanted to say is they do offer an additional menu which you have to pay for in. Advance, I did not get it for me and my wife because a lot of it was similar to the food at the wizarding world at universal studio. Honestly I would suggest to just have the menu available for all and have swag on site for all to buy, and the last thing would be ... it would be nice to have foot stools while sitting, the couch spaces are nice I was almost tempted to put our little table on long wise so we had more Room for our food and could kick back and further enjoy the movie.
