Went lavash with a friend for the first time. Atmosphere was so cute, loved the interiors, very clean. Food was flavorful, authentic but not too salty!!! We both got the lamb shawarma which was plenty of food for the price and was very tasty with pita bread! Plus comes with complimentary pita which can be refilled!! Met the owner Naser who was very welcoming to all the customers, walked around saying hello, serving food, and generally cared about all his customers! This place is 10/10 and would recommend !!!! read more

Went here for lunch today with a friend and started with the hummus and falafel appetizers. The hummus was very flavorful and the pita bread it came with was super fluffy and delicious! The falafel was also good. I got the lamb shawarma entree, which was good, although the lamb was a little bit tough. For half the price my friend got the shawarma sandwich which came with just as much meat as the entree, but just didn't include rice. I would definitely go back but would order a sandwich next time. The food came out very fast and service was excellent. Employees were quick to clean up finished plates, and the owner even came around to each table to ask how the food was. I can imagine the place gets pretty crowded on busier days. read more

Ugh Lavash is so good! It sounds unassuming, but I beg you to try their lentil soup, which is incredible in all seasons. Seriously the most delicious soup I've ever had! Everything is always delicious and comes out surprisingly quickly. The staff are friendly and accommodating. My partner and I always get the lavash combo and an order of soup and split it. It's the perfect portion for two people and ends up being a good price as well for a place that can be a bit pricey. Everything's so good and comforting! I especially love going in the warm months to enjoy their lovely outdoor seating that makes me feel like I'm in Europe! Vine and grapes over trellis' with twinkle lights. This really is one of the best restaurants in Columbus! When I used to live in the area, I loved going here, and I recently visited again. The food is just as delicious as I remember. There are a ton of vegan or vegetarian options if that's your flow, but overall the dishes are healthy. Discovered the black bean hummus this time around, and it was delicious! We are very fortunate to have Lavash in our neighborhood. On a recent visit, Nasir, the owner, was on the floor tending to customer's needs and sharing stories. Husband ordered the shrimp platter which was incredible. I've had just about every item on the menu and never leave hungry. We've used Lavash for catering too and had SO much food! One of my favorite items on the menu is the Spicy Black Bean Hummus and the lamb chops. They have a lovely outdoor space and the dessert case is expansive. My favorite Arabic restaurant in Columbus. I believe all their dishes and desserts deserve a try. I love the lamb mencaf (pronounced mansaf), meat specials, like maqlooba, and mixed grill deals. My favorite dessert from there is Nammoura. Their baklava is fire too, but nammoura is really different and special when they have it. Their hummus is amazing and I'm saying that as a Syria native. Always great. If you don't have a lot of time to spare, consider ordering ahead for carry-out. I've found it can take a little while for food, no longer than any other restaurant, but the difference is that you order at the counter and then sit down, so I think that subconsciously you expect the food to be quicker than a sit and order from a waiter type of place. I love everything here, I generally get the Chicken Shawarma, which is a rolled up type of sandwich in a pita. It's delicious. The lentil soup is also a great choice, and the hummus is amazing, they give you a heaping portion, it's so smooth and creamy. Such great hummus! Lasty, the sweets....obviously sugar is my favorite food....They have a glass case that will make anyone drool (at least, I'd like to think it's not just me!) Really great Baklavas and traditional sweets, plus some gorgeous cake and cupcakes. If you're looking for something for a date or a group, they're perfect for both, because they actually have large family style serving sizes. This was recommended to me by my boss and I owe her one for that! I loved my experience at Lavash - really really good food, super service, and fairly nice seating space. The cashier gave me a free soda on learning it was my first time (always appreciated!), the owner checked in on me himself, which goes on to show how much they care about customers. I had the falafel appetizer (which came with sauce and pita), and the beef/lamb shawarma, which was very very filling and tasty (though maybe a little bit excess olive oil). Excellent Mediterranean food right here. Stopped in for lunch with the whole family, we ordered the family platter that feeds 5-6 for $89 and it was an amazing amount of deliciousness. We are some of the biggest hogs, yet we still had leftovers and were very stuffed. The hummus was my favorite thing, but we had baba ganooj, fattoush salad, all of the meats, rice, pita bread, pickles and turnips, and three dipping sauces. The garlic sauce was phenomenal. My husband and I went here for dinner. The food is amazing...definitely hands down some of the best Mediterranean food in this area. The restaurant was very clean. I even saw a worker cleaning crumbs off the floor while I was there. The staff is friendly and stops by and asks each customer how everything is going. You get what you pay for with the meals...I ordered a sandwich wrap. It was huge and filling. You can probably even pass on a side dish. My husband, who typically eats plates of food, found himself super full after just eat his gyro. They give you hummus and homemade pita bread with your meal. I want to warn about eating the bean hummus. It gave both of us acid reflux. If you're prone to getting acid reflux, just stick with the regular hummus. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the portions at Lavash! The salad is missing a dressing but it was filled with veggies (radishes, peppers, cucumber and pita chips.) I'll probably add a protein to my salad next time for flavor. The black bean hummus as my favorite. It was smooth dipped so perfectly in the freshly baked pitas. We came here per the suggestion of the bartender at Matt the Miller's Tavern in dublin. I ordered the falafel sammy and my honey ordered the shawarma sammy. He wasn't very impressed but I liked our dinner. The portion of fries were huge for $2.50 and I though our sandwiches were pretty good. And I thought the salad looked really fresh! I liked that they used romaine rather than cheapie iceberg. And the FRESH SQUEEZED juice was deeeelicious! I probably won't request the flat bread next time and, instead, stick with the pita bread. And I'll probably ask for more fresh veggies because the sandwiches seem a bit basic...but besides that I liked it. I think this place has a lot of potential. I think you have to know what to order. I missed getting here on my last visit to Columbus, so I made sure I came with plenty of time remaining on my trip. I wasn't disappointed. I had a lamb and beef shawarma, and I added hummus as a side. I received a lot of food! The shawarma was nicely spiced and had tzatziki sauce on the side. I sampled the sauce only to complete the experience, and it was tasty as well. The shawarma and rice were some of the best I've had, and I've had a lot including in Kuwait, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. My only downs and they don't affect my rating is that the bread was not what I was expecting and the tea was made from city water and thus had a chlorine taste to it. If you are sensitive to that as I am, don't get the tea. read more
