From the moment I step foot into the building, I am greeted with warm smiles and lovely greetings. The check-in process is efficient; I receive a pager that directs me to the appropriate registration station, making the process seamless and quick. At the registration desk, I am welcomed with more smiles. They have my bracelet and itinerary ready, ensuring I know exactly where to go. I am always on the 3rd floor, where the warm smiles continue. The check-in process there is quick, and I have never experienced such efficiency and attentiveness in any other medical facility. When I am called back, I am met by the most caring nurses. No patient wants to be here given their diagnosis, but every single person in this building makes each visit a positive experience. When I first found out I had cancer, I was terrified to step foot in the building, but from my first visit, everyone made me feel like their priority. The staff is kind, compassionate, and they make you laugh. Most importantly, they genuinely care about you. During my visits, I find myself laughing, crying happy tears, and connecting with others who have been in my shoes. My entire team genuinely cares about me, and I can feel it. If anyone is in search of a cancer institute, you have to come here. I can promise you that you will not be disappointed.

It's a rather contemporary facility and pleasant contemporary atmosphere with plenty of seating. It works sort of along the lines of a Cleveland clinic, conveyor belt style or a one-stop-shop. It was my husband's first visit here and first time in a meeting the doctor. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, starting with the guards who check you in right on through to the doctor. It seems very nice but only time will tell if it's a place my husband wants to stay for his health care. I say this because it's different from the typical doctor office that you might be used to simply because it's a very large medical facility housing a lot of doctors staff and visitors with a lot of hustle and bustle.

First impression was that the facility was welcoming. The staff who greeted us were open, hospitable, and caring. This is so important to us especially in visiting an oncology clinic! She was seen by the nurse almost immediately. She was equally kind, caring and patient. My wife was then seen by the nurse practitioner Natalie Gallegos who exceeded expectations! She made us feel at ease, listened and asked key questions in a conversational manner. That type training is exceptional. Then the reason for the wonderful treatment to that moment came in. Dr. Calfa radiates such wonderful energy, with a smile while focusing on the person in front of her. Her presence relaxed us and gave us a sense that we were in exceptional hands. When I talk to other healthcare professionals about who my oncologist is, the first thing they say is to do whatever he tells you because he keeps his patients alive. Dr. Kalman has the bedside manner you need when you're being delivered the worse news you can hear. He makes sure everyone in the room is paying attention. He doesn't has a complex that he's a superhero, although he certainly is. The office is caring. He cares about you as an individual not as a diagnosis. When I had surgery and he came to see me, he acted like he was there just to visit because he saw I was by myself at the time he came. (I had just sent everyone home). He knew that I wouldn't remember anything he said and that I needed my entourage there. Can't say the same for all others who talked to me. All in all, for obvious reasons I wish I never met him under the circumstances I did...I am so very lucky to have Dr. Kalman, Christopher and the rest of the office on my team.

When I first went there for breast cancer my treatment was delayed because of the slowest of the nurse. All the front desk women are not helpful and have the worst attitudes they are however very noisy and gossipy. Triage is very very slow it takes almost an hour to get you blood taken before chemo treatment. The chemo area where treatments are given is nasty and not sanitary there is no privacy and no sanitation the black nurses are useless and do more talking among one another than making sure patients have what they need. The office is slow and lacks space. The staff are slow and lack compassion. All this office cares about is money not the patients I really regret ever coming here and I'm planning on stopping treatments at this location and find another oncologist this place is simply disgusting

Office was dingy and disorderly -He was rude, fastidious and pompous -Refused to write me script…read morefor pain for 6mm stone since he said "he doesn't write prescriptions for pain"?? And Made me wait like two weeks for surgery even though I only have 1 kidney and it's jammed by big stone ..I asked him isn't time of the essence because of the solitary kidney ? He said "you'll be fine". Day of surgery after waiting and waiting someone from Aventura Hospital cancelled surgery after already being on the surgical table and had been drugged twice. I got up off the surgical table in the OR and drove myself to memorial hospital in renal failure. I will never understand how he can practice medicine like that. I acquired an acute kidney injury which has left me with compromised renal function and I had to have specialized surgery to remove damaged part of ureter because of damage the stone made on the ureter. I was forced to have my ureter resected and reconstructed because of the trauma from the stone and the length of time it was allowed to stay stuck . I would not recomendad Aventura hospital since the OR cancelled surgery abruptly because the ceiling was collapsing while I was on the surgical table. Just So you understand, the hospital called me the day before the surgery to cancel it because they lost the lazer to be used for surgery. Only to be called back 30 min later saying they had found the lazer and the surgery was back on. I know it sounds crazy but this happened to me a year ago and I never wrote a bad review nor sued the Dr. nor the Hospital but now I receive a bill in collections from Dr Levin for like $88. So you get the scathing review above. Dr. Levin, Sir, You suck! And so does Aventura hospital.

They charged me $425 for basically nothing. He was flat out wrong on several assumptions he made. I paid $425 for him just to refer me to another fertility clinic. Also tried to do a rectal exam on me, highly unusual for my particular case. The main side effect of a medication I take causes my issue and he was looking for other reasons for it. Would not recommend at all. Waste of time and money.
