My father was there for only 2 weeks and fell 3 times, resulting in a fractured rib. His room was not cleaned within those 2 weeks and he was not seen by a physician (as required) until his second hospital visit. A paramedic called me to voice their concern about his level of care, when his sugar levels were 380. I called the complaint number to finally get management to act. Definitely find a better facility- there's a reason why there are empty rooms and no wait list.

Most of the clients there were in dire need of care, where my mother was very high functioning in comparison. A referral of this nature isn't appropriate for someone who is new to hospice diagnosis, and is still working through information, and starting to improve, this seems like a set back. I know that it truly isn't, but it was our interpretation. Perhaps down the road we can revisit, but I feel like the best place is at home, surrounded by family, and fill in the gaps with private duty. Not leave the home again. ​

The call bells stopped working and the facility failed to inform us that the call bells were not working when there was a covid outbreak in the facility in June 2024. My father experienced multiple falls and was not able to call for help. Due to the lack of care and the call bells not working, my father had to call 911 on his own. My father can no longer walk and is now in a nursing home on hospice as his health has declined massively from these repeated falls and lack of appropriate care. I tried to address this issue no avail with the executive director and corporate, but they refused to take responsibility and take seriously the lack of care and neglect my father experienced. They were non-responsive, only offering to refund his care fee for that time, which was not sufficient.

I couldn't imagine more concerned and caring people then them to have established this needed care home in Huntersville. I see the improvements they make for the convenience of the residents. It is heartwarming when family members as well as caregivers take the residents for a stroll or more likely a "roll" through our neighborhood on nice days. They provide planned activities for the residents and have even invited at least one of our elderly neighbors to come for a visit and join in with the group.
