Families rave about the care their loved one receives from the loving staff. The in-house medical services are excellent. It's a very socially active community which the residents thrive on. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are tiled with zero-threshold shower stalls...nicer than my own at home! This is a private pay community (no Medicaid). I work at Ranson Ridge and many of the other staff members have been there with me since we opened. We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful place!

My father was there for only 2 weeks and fell 3 times, resulting in a fractured rib. His room was not cleaned within those 2 weeks and he was not seen by a physician (as required) until his second hospital visit. A paramedic called me to voice their concern about his level of care, when his sugar levels were 380. I called the complaint number to finally get management to act. Definitely find a better facility- there's a reason why there are empty rooms and no wait list.

Security was great but not intrusive and the facility is very clean and was built in a manner that encourages the residents to gather together and socialize with one another. The staff also exceeded my expectations in a big way. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and it was obvious that they enjoyed their careers and interactions with the residents. I would have zero hesitation in placing a family member in this facility. Highly recommend.

One the things he said, was consistency is a priority for for Amada. That was not the case... We used Amada for seven months... In the beginning my father required 24 hour care and then he changed to eight hour care then back to 24 hour care... there was occasional consistency at best. I must give a big shout out to Janice and Jenny who are absolutely fabulous! Janice would work double shifts to care for my dad! There was no doubt that these 2 took great care of my father. However, on the other hand we had 1 caregiver fall asleep on the job and 1 that could not stay off her phone. My appreciation to Amada for sending invoices and notes to my dad's long term health care insurance plan. Brad generally responds right away and tells you what want to hear whether completely up front or not. Overall, I would give Amada 3 stars but Janice and Jenny deserve 5 stars!

Every single person with whom he interacted (PT, OT, ST) with was professional, kind, and friendly. He made great progress with his strength and balance, and was enthusiastic about engaging with the team. I've seen some critiques of the food and while it's hard to provide food that meets all preferences, the team is working on their food options, The most important part of his care was that all of the therapists, nurses, and NPs were outstanding. If we needed similar care again, we would have no hesitation in recommending HHR.

I can easily say that this is the worst medical care I have ever received. This is the first…read morereview I have left on a facility--in general, it takes a lot to upset me. I am compelled to let others know what they may face in Autumn Care of Cornelius. It was recommended by the hospital that I receive rehab after treatment for a severe break in my femur. I was given a list to choose from with star ratings. Autumn Care of Cornelius had only a 2 star rating, but a woman visited my hospital room and really encouraged me to try their facility-- that the poor rating was an old rating and they were a 4-5 star facility currently. She showed beautiful pictures and we were impressed with what she had to say. I checked other ratings online and the ratings were wide ranging. We decided to give it a go because it was close to home. As I was being transported to the place, I got a call from a neighbor warning me that many of the members of the neighborhood were "aghast" that I had opted for Autumn Care of Cornelius. I figured "What the heck--I am pretty laid back, easy to please, and it's only for a few days anyway". I am so sorry I didn't listen to them. I have been treated for years for chronic pain, due to a failed spinal fusion and peripheral neuropathy. As a psychologist, I am well aware of the dangers of addiction and opioid use, but my treatment at ACOC was nothing less than torture. My pain level from the accident was extreme, but it was never treated adequately. They would only give about half the medication I was taking for pain PRIOR to the accident. My new injury wasn't being treated at all and it was joined by pain from my prior condition. After hours of unrelenting pain, I begged them to contact my pain doctor and my husband even brought in my prescription bottles to show them my baseline pain treatment levels, but they wouldn't budge. They said since I was scheduled to leave the facility for an appointment with my pain doctor in 2 days, that I could just have him send recommendations back with me and they would honor them. I suffered through 7-8 level pain for 2 days, came back from my appointment with recommendations of my regular pain treatment plus a little extra that I could request for an extreme break out of pain. I was so relieved that I was going to get some relief, but very little changed in the next day, so I demanded to be released. They tried hard to convince me otherwise. One nurse tried to explain that some of the staff were misreading the dosage of the pill given (no excuse at all!) Ironically, the Physical Therapy team was outstanding, but I can't recommend you send your loved one there due to the unresponsive medical team. It is hard to give even 1 star. I encourage you to heed the warnings that I ignored.

I couldn't imagine more concerned and caring people then them to have established this needed care home in Huntersville. I see the improvements they make for the convenience of the residents. It is heartwarming when family members as well as caregivers take the residents for a stroll or more likely a "roll" through our neighborhood on nice days. They provide planned activities for the residents and have even invited at least one of our elderly neighbors to come for a visit and join in with the group. ER staff was very attentive, very caring. Once I was admitted, the daytime staff in a room, in a bed in the hospital was great. My nurse, Victoria Cambell, was amazing. I really appreciate her concern and care. However, The night time staff was not so good. I was hungry! Had been sick to my stomach early in the morning and hadn't eaten all day. I kept asking for something to eat, and I got a jello and some crackers. I was told I would get the evening meal, but that never happened. I was finally released at about 9:00 pm and the doctor finally came in to release me and in a big rush, hardly had time to give me a diagnosis and say good by. Not very impressed by that. I'd give my experience about a 5 out of ten.

Once in the center, the receptionists in there were amazing. They had us registered and walked mom right into a pre room. They took my name, number and identified what I was wearing to help identify me in the waiting room. Once in the room, the prep nurse, doctor and surgery staff came in the room to introduce themselves and make sure we didn't have any questions. The doctor said he would call once surgery was finished and he did just that. The experience once again was great! There was even free tea and coffee as you waited in the waiting room. At the time my 76 year old aunt was in the hospital, headed to rehab and then home ONLY if she had full time care. I received a call back within 30 min. I spoke with Rampi and she was informative, succinct and took the time to understand my/my aunts needs. While my aunt was in rehab Rampi visited my aunt and explained all the options and services of Brightstar. My aunt met with 2 other in home care service providers as well. Rampi's follow up to me and to my aunt was exceptional and, not surprisingly, my aunt chose to go with Brightstar. On the day my aunt transferred to home (from rehab) Brightstar team members were there to steward the transition. A nurse was on hand to oversee medication and make sure my aunt was safe and also comfortable. One week into the in home care Rampi did a follow up with me and my aunt to check in and see how things were going. Three weeks in there was an incident, caused by my aunt, that put the Brightstar care giver in a tough position. The issue was resolved within an hour and I got a call from Rampi letting me know what happened, why and the outcome. The next day, when I spoke with my aunt, she relayed the same information and she was pleased with how everything was handled. Honestly, my aunt has very high standards for everything. She is critical and shares her feelings. She doesn't like people in her home (except for a visit) and to hear her praise the in home caregiver and the company was amazing. I was totally shocked and frankly so relieved that she liked the caregiver team, Rampi, the nurse etc. I am thrilled with the service Brightstar has provided me and my aunt. One last note, I live across the country and so finding an organization I could trust was key. I found it. Thank you Brightstar and Rampi!!!

The aids are always Quitting due to the lack of communication. Nurses as well. My husband was left alone several times. No show of aidscomming to the home and not a call from the office unless I called the office. Annessa the Scueduler is rude and not equipped for the position . The owner Rampi never returns calls. I wouldn't recommend this so called agency to anyone.
