Ordered last minute birthday flowers for daughters birthday They were out of helium for the balloon I ordered. They went to a couple other resources to try and fill order as placed. Unable to accomplish so instead credit back balloons and added extra flowers to arrangement when they could have just credit balloon. Arrangement unique and very special. Flowers lasted a very long time despite traveling on very hot days. Will order again soon. Love supporting local they go the extra mile. Not cookie cutter florist read more

Laurelhurst Florist provided beautiful flower arrangements for my father's memorial service. Everything was delivered on time, and they were easy to work with. Great local business. read more

I highly recommend this florist. I hired them to make arrangements for my mother's memorial service. Flowers were beautiful and abundant. She was so accommodating with my requests to modify arrangements on line to my liking and also was willing to decrease size to be within my budget. She sent pictures of the arrangements for my approval the morning of the service. I requested a ribbon color change and she made the change, no problem. She goes above and beyond what you'll find anyplace else. read more

I am so excited to be able to write a review, a 5-star review, for Laurelhurst Florist. Amy and Emily exceeded my expectation and took my vision to the next level. I needed a few tables decorated for an event and loved that they created individual looks for each one! Seeing their work in person is one thing and you can see for yourself here, but SMELLING their work was wonderful too. They used such fragrant flowers in the arrangements that the room smelled as beautiful as it looked...you just can't get the full experience of floral decor using fake flowers. Not only were the centerpieces and bouquets very nice, I think their floral crowns and boutonnieres were amazing! Whether you want extravagant pieces or simple ones, even their most modest boutonnieres are stunning works of art. I highly recommend the Laurelhurst Florist. If flowers are important to your event, then don't skimp on using a pro like Amy! read more

Superb service. I arranged last minute for a mother's day bouquet with Laurelhurst Florist after my usual florist sold out early for the holiday. On the day of scheduled delivery the flowers were marked as delivered and I assumed that was the end of it. On Sunday afternoon my dad called me to let me know they hadn't seen any deliveries. I called and emailed Laurelhurst Florist to let them know my situation and dreaded the outcome since it seemed they wouldn't be opening until the following Monday. The owner personally called me back less than five minutes later and assured me that they would make this right. They delivered a lovely bouquet to my mother not long afterwards and saved the day. I was so impressed by this response and feel so grateful for the quick, compassionate reply that I received. Thank you so much! read more

I used Laurelhurst for our wedding this past weekend and we were so happy with how our flowers turned out!! The arbor piece and my bouquet were SO beautiful! I thought the bouquet was pricey, but realized that's the going rate for bridal bouquets when I was looking at other options. Amy was really helpful, friendly and had the most patience with me when I went to a consultation to first meet her with my 2.5 year old. My daughter was a bit everywhere and distracting at times, but Amy was great! I showed her photos of what I was looking for and at my wedding I got EXACTLY what I wanted. I got several comments on how pretty the flowers were. I ordered my bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutoneirs, and a lot of DIY flower bunches. One of the main reasons why I went with Laurelhurst was for the DIY bunches! They are reasonably priced and I actually got more flowers than expected, that we didn't use them all. Attached photo to see my LOVELY bouquet and arbor detail. read more

I got married in Portland last weekend and I ordered my bridal bouquet, family members' corsages and boutonnieres, and cake decorating flowers from Laurelhurst Florist. I couldn't be more pleased with how beautifully everything turned out! The staff were so friendly and accommodating during my initial consultation and all of our follow-up correspondence. They really listened to what I asked for and met all of my color palette and flower type requests. I don't have a nice photo of my bridal bouquet yet but I'll post one when I do. Thank you, Laurelhurst Florist! read more

I picked the designers choice option for a close friend who recently went through a personal loss. I left a little note hoping they could put something together that was appropriate, as no options really "fit". They went above and beyond! The arrangement was so perfect! I have told everybody how happy I was with my wedding flowers and what a pleasure Laurelhurst florist was to work with! There was so many snobby places around town that would not work with me and my budget. Amy and her team understood exactly what I wanted and helped me create the look I was going for and I was able to stay within my budget! Amy was awesome, she made my vision and Pinterest board come alive, at one time I was even on the phone with her at 9:30pm on a Friday going over my request. She went above and beyond for us. read more

I'm a regular customer here - that's because the flowers are always fresh and wonderful, the service is amazing, the pricing is fair, and Amy, the owner is generous and wonderful. Here's a tip, fellow men: If your house always has flowers, your wife is always happy. read more

I missed a bus visiting a friend, so I stopped in to check this place out. They always have the cutest window displays and they have a pretty decent selection for any occasion. Prices were a bit higher than I like to pay, but I don't usually shop at florists . . . Overall: very sweet owner and nice selection; also very close to the hospital read more

Nice location and every time I pass by I feel like going inside. I've been wanting to get some hanging lights for my little girl's room and the hanging lanterns/lights in the windows of the florist always catch my eye. I decided to go inside and had to basically wander around and find the girl working in the back....which wasn't even necessary, sine she knew NOTHING about the products being sold! She didn't even know how much they were, if they were getting new ones in, if we could buy the light with it - which made me wonder why she was even there if she couldn't help us with anything. Decided to buy the lights online. Less hassle and don't have to deal with poor customer service. read more

After a slight hiccup with my order, Amy was so gracious as to send me the most beautiful bouquet of roses as an apology. So sincere and thoughtful. I will move all of my floral business to Laurelhurst. Wonderful people, great service. read more

The decision to use Laurelhurst for our end of May wedding began after I was driving to work one morning and saw a big orange cat laying in the window next to flower displays, and became convinced this was a place I had to check out. I met with Amy (and the friendly shop cats) and explained my floral vision to her, and she had me look through some samples of white flowers and greenery and at the end of the meeting she seemed very confident that she understood what I wanted and would be happy do work with me, even though she had never before created the kind of hoop of greenery and flowers I wanted as my main centerpiece. I'm thrilled to say that everything turned out absolutely perfect, exactly what I wanted - greenery with white flowers for the tables, a big, fluffy white bouqet with peonies (they were a must for me, and the other florist I spoke with could not promise them) the matching corsages for the mothers, and of course that beautiful greenery hoop that we were married in front of. A pretty much perfect floral experience, I can't recommend them enough. read more

Laurelhurst florist did the flowers for my wedding this past weekend and they could not have been more beautiful! I chose Laurelhurst florist first because it was close to my home and suporting someone local was important to me, I was so glad that I did. Amy was a delight to work with and everyone that I spoke to was always very friendly and helpful (including the two live in kitties that I instantly fell in love with). I gave Amy my color ideas and she was very helpful with making suggestions and working with my budget. Everything was made very easy, which is so important for a bride juggling a million details. The flowers were beautiful, fresh and exactly what I had envisioned. I would recommend Laurelhurst Florist 100%. Great local business!! I would go back anytime and for any occasion. read more

The bouquet I received on Valentine's Day was spectacular! My boyfriend is in Afghanistan and I know he only called in on Valentine's Day to place the order. It doesn't matter- looking at the arrangement you can't tell. This is our favorite flower shop and they came through again! They listen to the kinds of flowers I like- he must have told them lilies- and then deliver!!! I am never disappointed with the service or quality of the flowers. Thank you! read more

Amy and her team did our wedding flowers and they were amazing! Amy met with us once and all the follow-up email communication was very smooth. My daughter got married at the Laurelhurst Club, right down the street on May 31, 2014. We had picked up her flowers earlier that day, from a different florist and stored them in a cooler. Unfortunately my daughter's Bridal Bouquet froze and we didnt see it until an hour and a half before the wedding. I took the bouquet to Laurelhurst Flowers and asked them if they could duplicate it very quickly. They were wonderful! Within 25 minutes she had recreated (actually it was better) my daughters bridal Bouquet. Laurelhurst Flowers Saved the Day!!! Thank you so much. I am the Director of Sales at a Local Resort where we do tons of weddings. I will recommend you to all! read more

This is my all time favorite florist shop in Portland. All the arrangements I've gotten have been fragrant, fresh, and beautifully arranged every single time. The person who commented below, who said that their flowers weren't fresh, most likely doesn't know what fresh flowers actually look and feel like. These are extremely fresh, and typically last me close to a month. The florists who work in the shop are consistently friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. They clearly put a large amount of effort into the arrangements I receive and never fail to bring me, and those I gift flowers to, a lot of joy. Bonus points for the shop cats!! read more
