This place is a hit or mess. Sometimes you find good deals on Groupon. Makes it hard to pass up. I arrived to the parking garage five minutes early. And the lady was completely rude. She told me to read the sign. She refused to answer any questions. Then tells me to go park and wait five minutes. Otherwise, I could pay for a full day to get in five minutes early. So- we waited. Then as soon as we entered, she told us go park past the second floor. Then we can walk down or take the stairs because the elevator is broken. Customer service and personality were not her thing. The ride to the airport was fine. When we flew back, we reached out for a pick up. The older gentleman that picked us up was really nice. Very talkative. Traffic was horrible so it took us a while. But he was the silver lining to that company. read more

Horrible experience!! Bottom line: If you use their new online reservation system, say you are coming earlier than you need to, and returning much later than you think. As long as it doesn't put you over 24 hours, I hope it helps you. I'm not sure if they cancel your reservation if you are not there within a certain time tho'. #1)The most important thing they don't tell you is that the entry gate WILL NOT OPEN until the time you said you are arriving. #2 When you leave, even if the shuttle took a very long time, and you are still under 24 hours on the last day you already pre-paid for, the exit computer will say you OWE ANOTHER FULL DAY, if you are ANY AMOUNT OF TIME AFTER THAT PRE-SPECIFIED EXIT TIME. I pre-paid for 6 days because I was going to be back in 5 days, 13 hours. My return flight was delayed, the shuttle was slow, etc...but I thought I had 24 hours to exit on that last day, like every other airport parking service, and like they have done every other time in the past! Not anymore! I was at their exit gate 5 days, 14.5 hours later - so 1.5 hours past what I said on their online reservation form. For that 1.5 hours, I was charged another day, at their onsite pay rate of $20. So my car stayed under 6 days, I had pre-paid for 6 days, nut was charged for 7. No logical point made with the exit agent could remedy the situation. At least he was polite, contrary to the agent upon my arrival, who was extremely an unnecessarily rude! And prob violated a bunch of ADA rules, too. I've parked here many times in the past (over 30), and found it ok. Besides the usual issues, the broken elevator (leave bags below), indoor parking full, etc, they were polite, reasonably priced, had 2 shuttles running, etc, but now this place has hit bottom. With their new online reservation system, they need to BOLDLY specify ahead about these new time constraints, to allow a lot of extra time for the stairs being the only option, and now very slow shuttle service. To top it off, I usually use Groupon to go here, and then give Laurel parking the voucher number. Not anymore. Laurel needs a bar code that the Groupon Voucher I pre-bought for this stay, was not producing, so I actually had to buy parking 2x for this trip. Supposedly, I can use that voucher later, but no one could tell me how to get to the bar code. Hopefully I will figure it out, and get to use it, vs being out even more money. Definitely will be going elsewhere after that, unless they improve. At this point I highly rec'd going elsewhere. read more

I used this service on October 2 - October 4 I had to walk over to the airport in a heat wave cause the pick up shuttle took over 45 minutes then I was told there was only 8 spots available. I waited on Sunday October 4 for pick up. Gave them a call and they said they would pick me up in a bit. Well it was a heat wave I waited 30 minutes called again and said they would be there. Given the excellence in service, I saw on the way out, I decided waiting in 97 degree heat for over an hour was not in my future. I decided to take a cab. So if you account for a cab to and from the site which is about 18 bucks it is a fine service. read more

This place has been the cheapest parking spot to park my car when I leave ever they have a free shuttle. The elevator doesn't work. It hasn't been working for several months now since I started so if you get stuck on the top floor, you have to proof it all the way up or down with your luggage so always try to park in between three and four besides that the staff is super friendly, the drivers are super friendly. So I would avoid this place if you can. Here are a few reasons: - This claims to be a 24 hour parking but they don't have 24 hour shuttle service to the airport. So if your flight is late at night or early early in the morning and they're not going to have a shuttle for you. You'll have to be responsible for your own transportation, which means an Uber that will make the price higher than other parking places that actually have functioning shuttles. - The parking spaces are super tiny so if you have a normal size or a larger vehicle, it's going to be a tight squeeze. With the lot is full of the "open" spaces are really not an option as cars on either side overlap into them. - The elevators are broken as of the date of this review. It looks like they have been broken for quite some time. I'm not sure how you can manage luggage, or if you can't climb the stairs. The prices are a little bit lower, but you get what you pay for. read more

Don't be fooled by their low prices. They do NOT have a grace period from their automated QR system, you will be charged the full day amount of $20 if you're over a minute, and they won't let you in before your scheduled time. Despite it being 5 mins away, it seems like they're on island time as it'll take 30 mins from the time you call until they pick up. Finally, IF you wanted a refund to your reservation, you can cancel it up to the minute before it starts, but only if you want to call their customer support line. I have to say, that retrospectively I should not be surprised that we experienced the worst possible airport parking experience we've ever had in our lives at this place, given the poor Yelp reviews, but it was beyond comprehension, and very nearly cost us our flight for a party of 6. My wife booked this through GlobalAirportParking.com and received an email confirming our spot months in advance. The email provided the typical confirmation number, the days we would be out and at the bottom of the email it said "YOU MUST SHOW A COPY OF THIS CONFIRMATION AT THE PARKING LOT." So we came prepared with the email, which did not included anything else except the confirmation code, our names, dates we reserved and the "YOU MUST SHOW A COPY OF THIS CONFIRMATION AT THE PARKING LOT". That's it, no QR code or anything else. We arrived about 2 hours before our flight thinking this should be no problem to park, get on a shuttle and get there in time, but unfortunately the guy operating the entrance had other ideas. He looks at the confirmation letter, and ignores it and just says, "that won't work, you need a QR code" and then just turns away from us and ignores us as our family of 6 is perplexed. He's not attending anything else or doing anything else, he just turns his back to us. We call to him to turn back to us, and ask "what QR code" since this is all we got and we have a proven confirmation. He keeps saying won't work, need QR code, and proceeds to turns his back to us again and walks away. This goes on about 15 minutes and our frustration keeps growing. Meanwhile another car is now behind us, but he ignores them too, and is acting like he has all the time in the world and does not want to be bothered by helping us, but says we can just pay out of pocket there full price though we already had pre-paid parking. Finally, he says we can call the company we pre-paid with, so we do (while waiting at the entrance to the parking lot since he won't let us in even to figure this out or offer to help us. The person on the phone confirms our reservation, to him on speaker phone, and he still says "need QR code" and ignores them and us. The person on the phone is in disbelief since she confirms we should not "need" a QR code, but puts us on hold to speak with a manager, and then finally texts us a QR code, which he without any apology or trying to help, accepts and lets us in. This was now over 30 minutes and the ONE shuttle they use had just left. He said it should be 15-20 min for them to return, it was closer to 30 minutes, so now 1 hour after we arrived there we finally are on the shuttle. We get to the airport and the TSA line was enormous, and if not for the fact that the plain was delayed, we would have missed our flight due to this guy who could not be bothered to even try to help us and kept ignoring us. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Even though their price may be cheaper than many, you truly get "what you pay for" and not even that, given the abhorrent service. read more

Updating my review after I returned from my trip. The shuttle to get you to the airport is very convenient and is usually on standby, but to get picked up, you will wait at least an hour for the van to come back and get you and take you to the garage. The garage is two miles from the airport. The parking spots are very tight. If you have time when you get back, just know that you're gonna be waiting for a pick up. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! - I got there 3 minutes earlier than my reserved time, so they had me back out and park on the street for 3 minutes. - No covered parking available on a week day. I had to park on the roof. - THE ELEVATOR DOES NOT WORK, so I had to walk my luggage down 5 flights of stairs. - My flight was delayed, which put me 40 minutes past my reserved time (actually 30 minutes, but I had to walk up 5 flights of stairs with luggage to get to my car!) and THEY CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL 20.00! Don't bring your car here. We left our car in this parking structure and were required to leave our keys so the staff could park it. When we returned, our car was unlocked and the battery was dead. Instead of offering any help or understanding, the employee was rude, dismissive, and made it clear that they take no responsibility for customers' vehicles and won't assist if something goes wrong. Regardless of their liability policy, the complete lack of professionalism and basic customer service was unacceptable. If a business takes possession of your car, the least they can do is treat customers with respect and make an effort to help when there's a problem. Meh. I pulled in 5 minutes before my park start and they made me back out and wait on the street until my parking start time. I paid for parking so I could have covered parking while I flew out of town for a few days, and sure enough, no covered parking is available and the only spaces are at the very top of the roof. adding to the LONG list of "one star reviews" that would probably be "zero stars" if that were an option. I can reiterate everyone's feelings that the customer service is terrible. Really, truly, awful service and aggressive, rude, and "stand-off-ish" employees. The covered parking is all occupied with long term parking customers so there is only parking available (uncovered) on the 6th floor. The elevator was "not working" when we departed...The elevator was "not quite fixed yet" when we returned a week later. So you are forced to run down six flights of stairs to catch the shuttle to the Airport; and upon return you are faced with climbing six flights of stairs to retrieve your automobile (not a welcome addition to already stressful travel plans) A terrible experience regardless of the price (or how it compares to pricing of competitor's businesses). Horrible to treat customers that way at any price..... I wonder if future reviews will have the same issues, as it seems to be consistent complaints. read more

I booked a reservations with the Laurel St. SAN parking lot through Way for a week stay. When we arrived back at the airport in San Diego late at night, I realized that there was no phone number on my Way confirmation to call to get the shuttle. I googled the parking lot to get the phone number and all we got on the phone number listed on Google was a busy signal. We tried multiple times from two different phones with no luck. (I also tried that number a few days later in the middle of a business day just to test it out and got the same result.) We had to take an Uber to get to the parking lot, which cost us $44.99 + a tip. When we arrived at the lot, the attendant (Carlos) treated us like idiots because we called the "wrong" number. He told us we should have called the number on the reservation or the number on the side of the shuttle. (How we're supposed to call the number on the side of a shuttle that doesn't continuously circle the airport, I don't know.) We were never given a card with the number nor told that the number was on the reservation (I would have checked right then and there.) or to take a photo of the side of the shuttle when we were taken to the airport.) When I told him I called the number listed on Google, he condescendingly told me that it's not a correct phone number; but that it's the number to some random office in the building attached to the parking garage. How is someone supposed to know that, especially since there is a button to book a parking reservation on that Google listing? We were late arriving due to a flight delay, so we were also charged a $20 overstay. Not sure how that amount was determined. While that just added insult to injury, we were late. The attendant (Carlos) told us he has absolutely no control over anything, so he couldn't/wouldn't help us. He didn't even offer to connect us to a manager. I had to ask how to do that and he pointed to a number on the outside of his booth. After I got all my documentation in order, I called that number: once on 8/6 at 3:33 PM PDT and once on 8/7 at 12:20 PM PDT. It went to voicemail both times. I left a message with my name and phone number stating that I'm looking for help to get a partial refund. As of this moment, I have yet to get a phone call back. While I'm pretty sure that Carlos' attitude would have prevented him from helping us in any way, what we were told when we arrived to park our car was that the attendants no longer have any control over anything. (We were there 15 minutes early for our reservation and the QR code scanner wouldn't open the gate and the attendant that day told us she couldn't open the gate since everything is now automatic. We were forced to back out of the driveway from the garage into a busy street and try to find a place to park until our time frame opened up. At least this attendant was courteous and stood out in the street to make sure oncoming traffic wouldn't be a danger as we backed up. I was willing to just pull into the entry past the gate and wait for our spot there, but it didn't seem possible for them to lift the gate.) We've used this lot many times over the past 3 - 4 years. The elevator has never worked. This time, half the lights on the 5th floor where our car was parked were out. In a word, it's worth the extra money to find a different lot where people matter and safety and convenience aren't issues. read more

We got to the lot 30 min early and they wouldn't allow us to come in until our reservation time. We offered to pay the difference, this is what LotA and Lot B allow you to do. TOTAL TIME FROM FIRST CALL TO PICK UP WAS 50 MINUTES. Parked on 07.1.26, employees were A+. Picked up on 08.1.26 and the two male employees were A+ the driver and the man working booth, BUT the office staff answering the phone was an F- we waited 50 minutes for pick up calling first time and being ignored by woman answering phone. Called for pick up at 3:35 p.m and did't get an answer till 3:38 on third call...waited 17 mins and called again and again and again (see picture) in photo says "cancelled" but that means it rang for so long it just disconnected...finally got her and she said she would send someone immediately...after waiting another 18 minutes at 4:25 pm we were literally crossing the street to get a cab and our drive showed up (who was A+). We had called multiple times on wifes phone as well to see if my number was being ghosted. So here's the best part on leaving I was charged extra time above my reservation...we were late due to travel but I paid for and extra hour because the office staff was ignoring us. To the owner, your decision on refund applicable for overage, but to the gentlemen working there do yourself a favor and start your own lot or go to Alladin. During the time we were waiting I saw Alladin 5X, Sheraton 4X, and another one 4X. After 21 hours of travel not how we wanted to finish the day. Stay away from this place. read more

Not a knock on Laurel, but just as a note, my husband booked through Way which annoyingly required him to download their app just to get the QR code to get in and out. Well for the price it was fine but honestly not very well maintained. I got a groupon and parked here for the forst time. The elevator took ages to come and the sign said it all. The pink ticket that I was given said on it for how many days I will be parking. I had to call for the shuttle when I came back to San Diego to be picked up from the airport. I've parked here probably 20 times the last 2-3 years and it's usually been great. This time, I showed up 4 minutes early and had to pull back out onto the street to park until the clock hit the exact time of the reservation before I could enter. I mentioned that wasn't a great experience and was told that they have a new reservation system that has no capability to create a grace period...and no one could do anything about it. Then, the elevator was broken. When I got back to my car, I walked up the ramp (since the elevator was still broken) and then got stuck behind someone who couldn't figure out how to scan the QR code to exit, which led me to be 13 minutes late exiting. For that, I was charged an overage fee of $20. TWENTY DOLLARS FOR 13 MINUTES...let that sink in. Again, due to the software's limitations, no one could do anything about it. I get that software can be buggy and lack features, but this is an utter failure of software selection and implementation. I hope the extra revenue is worth it. I will never park here again. Ever. We have to ask for a ride from Aladdin driver to go pick up our car.when we call to let them know we was waiting for them at the airport the three times we called. We have parked here one other time and pick up from the airport was horrible. We decided to try them again and parked there today. There was no inside covered parking so they allowed a to park in Valet. In our prior experience, no one was helpful with any part of the transaction. Today, Randy was outstanding with his customer service. He helped with luggage, provided guidance on the return trip process and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. I am hoping when we land and return for our vehicle in a few days that we have Randy again since he was super delightful. The elevator is still broken just for awareness. read more
