Just want my review back at the top so people can see how terrible this place is. Their employee stole my car for 3 days, crashed it and then brought it back. It was a total loss. The owners of this garage did NOTHING to remedy this situation. They've sent me multiple messages saying someone will reach out to me next week and then no one does. I was out a $30,000 car because of them and then had to pay for a new one myself without any restitution. DO NOT PARK HERE!

Don't park here. Elevators don't work. Homeless people live here

Great views from the roof but everything else about Laurel Parking is the worst. Elevator - forever broken. Availability - none. Homeless people and garbage - everywhere. Shuttle - makes you wait for the van to fill which can be 45 minutes. Just no, don't do it.

Well for the price it was fine but honestly not very well maintained. I got a groupon and parked here for the forst time. The elevator took ages to come and the sign said it all. The pink ticket that I was given said on it for how many days I will be parking. I had to call for the shuttle when I came back to San Diego to be picked up from the airport. The number was on the pink ticket which means you have to keep it handy. The driver was very courteous. Look for a groupon. Worth it

Ask the Community - Laurel Parking

Laurel Travel Center Garage advertises $63.75/7 days parking on Groupon with the Promo Code- but still wants to charge my credit card $75?

With the $6.00 promo the cost shows $68.00 for 7 days outside. You may have additional credit to bring it down that low. I've never been overcharged on Groupon. When they… Read more

Do they have an elevator, if so does it work?

It wasn't working when we returned to San Diego about a month ago. I have no idea if it has been repaired.

I will be using a Groupon voucher. It says I don't need a reservation. Is that correct?

They won't accept reservations with Groupon. But it might be full when you arrive. You just have to take your chances. Make a backup reservation at Fox.

Do you they have parking for full size truck or suburban?

Yes. Note: Vehicles that are over 6' 5" are subject to a higher Valet fee because those vehicles don't fit in the garage. Vehicles over 6' 5" can only be valeted on first floor due to height restriction.

I am flying Tuesday June 20 - willbe there by 6:15 am. Can I make a reservation so I know I have a spot?

Reservations do NOT guarantee you a parking spot. I found out the hard way. They simply sell reservations but if the lot is full, they'll make you wait until someone leaves. Which you don't have time for if you're trying to make your flight.… Read more

How often do the shuttles run?

Every 10-15 min. When not busy. Expect 25-30 or greater when busy.

Randy was so kind as I had forgotten my jacket in my car and he patiently waited for me to go back and get it.

Ace Parking - 6th & K Parkade

Gaslamp, East Village

So, this is my second time in the past couple months parking at the 6th & K Parkade. It was the…read morerecommended parking garage for a couple of recent Yelp events. With meters allowing for only to hours until 8PM, I chose to park in a garage so I could relax and take my time. Both times, the parking garage was within blocks of my destination. It is very close to Petco Park, so the parking availability and parking rates really depend on what is happening downtown. If there had been a Padres game, I'm sure I would not have parked there The first time, it cost $2 per hour. The second time was $1.50 per hour. The rates are listed on the sign outside before you enter the garage. I imagine it was slightly cheaper the second time because it was a quiet night without a lot going on. This parking lot is relatively clean, compared to others nearby. I ran into a staff member sweeping the stairwells when I cam to get my car around 9 PM. Both times, staff were there helping me to use the card reader on my way out. I will say, I am a very independent person, but parking garages, especially on quiet nights are not the safest. I remember feeling a bit isolated and had wished I had taken my firiend's offer to walk me to my car. This is not a dig on this parkade, as they have more staff than most parking garages, but just a reminder that for anyone walking alone to take great caution when walking through a deserted parking garage. All in all, as long as it is not a busy night downtown, prices at this parking garage are reasonable. It is in a great location, close to many bars and restaurants.

Oh Ace Parking, why must you put a damper on our relationship that has been so good for so many…read moreyears? While I understand that the city of San Diego has made changes making parking for events more difficult for San Diegans, I didn't think my beloved Ace would too. While still one of the inexpensive options for parking downtown during events, even time ranges have changed and made my downtown adventures more expensive than they have ever been before. Event parking used to be good for 10-12 hours and now the event begin time is often not early enough before the event and the covered time varies between 5-9 hours and isn't consistent for all events. Make it make sense? Especially while the reservation itself says event rate good until midnight. We want to go down early and/or stay after events giving business to the surrounding establishments however each time we leave past the "event departure" we don't know what we're going to get. For instance, we stayed 2 hours past the "departure" time and scan our parking ticket, $11. Scan the QR code we paid $16 for through the Ace parking website and tells me my balance is $10 which is the nightly rate despite me not exceeding 12 hours. Looking at the website, it even states event parking is good for 12 hours so WTF? They also now only reserve a select amount of spaces for people to pay for in person before stating sold out while parking is still available to purchase online. Stars still for being one of the least expensive event parking close by however i will complain about it every time we leave late and have to give additional funds bringing us closer to the cost of all the more expensive lots or continue dealing with the trolley more, which I guess is what the city of San Diego is pushing us all to do anyway. :( #endrant

I live right next to this establishment. And let me tell you, the view from my bedroom window down into this lot, is for PRIME people watching. Now, being that I live downtown, I understand the importance of being quite when I leave places if it's past 11pm. Some people go to bed at reasonable times, and I don't want to interrupt their deep sleep. For me on the other hand, I don't mind the noise all that much. It's not keeping me from sleeping, because I usually get the majority of my work, done from the hours of 11pm to 4am, so I'm up anyways. But I feel that this parking lot, brings out the worst of downtown. Some of my neighbors don't take the noise so lightly. A few weeks ago, around 3am a lady yelled down to ask a group of men to be a little quieter, and how did they respond? They threw a huge rock straight into her window. It's gotten to the point, where I am down for a little sling shot through the window, or water balloons from the roof. I don't mind the kids hanging out in the lot, but when it's 2am and you got two gold cars with butterfly doors, bumping "stanky leg" for half hour straight while ghost riding the whip, (not an exaggeration) something has to be done, right?

This place is expensive. 15 dollars a day. Around 8 to 10 dollars a day. Security is minimal. Fences, lights. Good luck!
