Both pant legs. I trimmed the two layers of excess jean fabric above the seam.
Tracy G.

Took two pair of jeans in for alterations (shortened and hemmed). They asked if I wanted a regular hem or to match the stitching of the jeans. I was confused by this because never have been asked this before. It was a red flag but went with it anyway because I was there and the mall is close to my house. If I wanted stitching to match then it would cost extra. I paid the extra. When I picked up the jeans the way they were hemmed was terrible. I unfortunately did not inspect the work before leaving. The excess material (two layers thick) was still attached above the hem (see the pic - I had to trim to trim the excess fabric, the amount attached to the vertical seam running up and down the pant leg. I couldn't trim off the excess fabric at the vertical pant seam because the excess fabric was sewn to it, but not attached in between the seams, just left hanging). I had to trim this off. If I hadn't done this, after washing, it would have creased at the hem and hung out from the bottom of the jeans; would have been visible. After doing this and after the pants were washed, the way the hem is sewn it has caused the pants to crease at the hem line anyway and flip outward. When this happens you can see the trimmed off part above the seam. This is really upsetting considering the pants are Vigoss and Lucky brand jeans which are not cheap. Now they are ruined or I have to watch to see if the hem is flipping up. Both situations frustrating. As one of the other reviews stated, 'I should have done it myself.' I work and have a busy career so thought I would save some of my limited time by have someone else do it for me. I knew it wouldn't be the most affordable alterations being that they are based in the mall, but thought they would likely do a decent job. They have been in the mall for awhile and have noted them moving up in retail space. I Incorrectly assumed this meant they were doing good work and could afford to grow. If you want a person who does top notch alterations should try Leanne's. She does great work.

Excellent fabrics, they have buttons! so many great things for fashion sewing, good hearted…read moreowners/managers. Let's make this work, they are the only game in town for serious seamstresses.

They claim they will dye your fabric. I gave them 8 yards of silk organza to dye a shade of rose…read morepink my daughters wedding dress. It has been two weeks! I was told it would be 4-5 days. I am making this dress and I can't do any more until I have that fabric. The customer does not seem to be a priority. I have been put off three times. They are only open about 20 hours a week, there is definitely time to dye my fabric. If they are all so busy they can't get to my dye job in TWO WEEKS perhaps they should hire another person or two or close the store so they can spend their time doing whatever it is using up the rest of their time. Think twice before you have something dyed by them. I have all ready paid them $98!!! I hope that wasn't to cover the time they weren't working on my fabric. I have dyed many many yards of fabric. it does not take countless hours and days and days. That being said, they have a few nice fabrics and they are helpful and courteous but I do not believe the "fabric store and customers" are their main concern. If it's tailoring and alterations, great, do that! Don't continue to hang other customers out to dry! I have a DEFINITE TIME I need to have this dress finished and if they cannot help .......AT LEAST TELL ME AND WRITE A CHECK TO PURCHASE A WEDDING DRESS FOR MY DAUGHTER.
