In my book Bryan Mclelland is a 5 Star Oral Surgeon…read more Earlier this year my wife had implants surgically inserted. It first involved grafting bone to her jaw to hold the implants in place; a couple months later the implants were surgically inserted into her jaw. Bryan Mclelland performed the surgery. His nurse and assistants are pretty incredible as they assisted during the surgery. The implants fit perfectly and everything went great! My personal experience was equally as good. My dentist referred me to Bryan because it looked like I had a small crack in one of my teeth. He thought it should be pulled. After looking at the Xray Bryan suggested we watch it for six to twelve months and then determine if it needed to be pulled. It's refreshing to hear that I could just wait and see what happens, I might never need to have it pulled. I felt like Bryan really cares about his patients, its not all about the money! I can't believe anybody would give Bryan anything less than 5 stars! - Richard Brantley, Spokane Valley

I Dr. McLelland!…read more I'm so pleased with he & his staff, you better pack a lunch for this one! I went in, scared to death about needing oral surgery, and I came out with this five-star review! Dr. McLelland was the third oral surgeon I had gone to after meeting 2 doctors in CDA who I just wasn't feeling: I liked the doctor but not the front office and vice versa. With Liberty Oral Surgery, I loved both. Let's start with Dr. McLelland. In a word: fantastic! He has such a great bedside manner and inspired confidence that put me at ease instantly. I was extremely apprehensive about having a tooth pulled and an implant installed but he put all my fears to rest. He listened to my concerns and clearly explained my care plan. He's also just a super nice guy who takes pride in what he does. The day of my both surgeries, I was greeted by his fabulous staff who were efficient and friendly and put me at ease: Briget, Denise, Megan, & Katie. Dr. McLelland explained my post-op instructions for successful results and they have been! He also called after each surgery to check on me. Who even does that anymore?! At my follow-up appointments, I had the pleasure of meeting Cliff & Staci, who both went out of their way to put me at ease about my progress. His front office is also awesome. Terri, the Finance Manager, was approachable and walked me through a cost breakdown. She clearly explained where my benefits would apply and was timely in terms of submitting my claim. I loved that there were no surprises when all was said & done. I live in CDA and Liberty Oral Surgery is in Post Falls. Not a huge distance but 100% worth the drive. I recommend Dr. McLelland 110% to anyone who needs an extraction or an implant.

This is the worst dental practice. I spent 25+years working in dentistry first as an assistant…read moreand finished working as a manager. They don't care about their patients! I have many medical issues and after the extractions no one called to check on me. I also question Dr Freuen's surgical prowess. My mouth felt like soft ragged tissue. This is the South Hill Office - I came in with my 19 yo daughter who was referred to have her…read morewisdom teeth pulled. Since she is 19 she is considered an adult. The finance lady (Kara) had called her and told her the bill would be $1700. My daughter told the lady that she cannot afford that bill. The finance lady said oh don't worry about it. Insurance will cover most of that and the bill will be way less. I like to give you a high number just in case. She never called my daughter back. On the day of her appointment they brought her back and started her visit. Halfway through the visit and right before she was set to get an IV the financial lady (Kara) came in and told us the bill would be $1529. I was in shock and I asked why. She said we had used 62% of our alloted annual maximum and that we had to pay the difference in full. Mind you it is mid November and that my annual maximum would reset 1/1/2023. When I asked how much would it be in January she said oh I don't have those numbers. She then told my daughter "We discussed this." My daughter was so scared she didn't know what to say. Kara said we can do payments but who cares. It doesn't change the cost. This procedure could have been done in January for $1000 less than the current visit. I left furious and Kara basically said well your daughter is 19 and I do not have to inform you. But I will take your credit card. So after my daughter had her procedure she explained to me what Kara had told her. She NEVER called her back with an updated estimate and they WAITED until she was in the chair and about to get an IV to spring that bill on her. Mind you she is 19. If I was not there how in the world would she have paid that? And what would they do at that point? Put her on a payment plan? Make her open a credit card? This is SO SHADY. You deceive her with an amount. Tell her don't worry it will be way less, get her in the chair halfway through the exam and then spring that 1529 bill on her. That is completely unfair. You could have put her into a debt that she could not pay as a 19 yo. You basically deceived her. And then when I came out furious Kara basically blamed my daughter. This was her fault. She never gave a real estimate, told her it would be way less when she said she can't afford that and then said nothing until she was about to have a needle put in her vein. I plan to file complaints with my insurance company, BBB, notify my dentist and dispute my card. I have never been put in a position like that before. If it was me I would have completely walked out. But because it was my daughter what am I going to tell her? Get up we are leaving? And what would you have done to to her had I not been there. Please do not use this place. This was so awful what they did. I felt bullied into a bill that was unnecessary and cost me $1000 right around Christmas. I don't like being bullied.

I asked three times, two assistance and the dentist himself, before having a procedure done if insurance was going to cover it and was told yes, all three times. I had concerns over whether or not my procedure was medically necessary or would be considered cosmetic and was told it would be medically covered. In the end the insurance denied the claim saying that the dentist did a procedure that was more expensive than what was needed and should have offered or provided a different procedure. I was never presented a second or alternative option and I was never told one might not be covered over the other. No preauthorization was sent prior to the work being done. I argued for months and even appealed with insurance and in the end Weber dental just threw their hands up and said oh well, here's a bill for thousands of dollars. They refused to accept any responsibility and refused to help me with the cost at all. They did allow for me to make payments but it took me a very long time to pay it off.

The woman handling insurance was rude and shouted at me. She also missed insurance coverage. I have the comprehensive dental coverage, not the limited. Included in this coverage is 50 percent payment for an implant. My Medical used to cover implants but that coverage has been transferred to the dental plan. She rudely refused to call the insurance companies. Because of her stubbornness, I would have had to pay $2700 before the procedure. At another oral surgeon's office, My cost will be $200 dollars to have the tooth removed and only 50 percent for the cost of an implant. That is a big difference in my payment for services. Because of allergies, I need antibiotics and pain medication compounded. I told both Dr Skinner and his assistant at the same time, that the prescription needed to be sent to the compounding pharmacy one week before surgery. Because of pain I asked that the tooth be removed as quickly as possible. The scheduler told me she would send a note to the assistant for my antibiotic to be sent to the pharmacy.I called the pharmacy two days in a row to see if the script was there. It wasn't. The pharmacist called the office and was told there was no order. Because of the insurance difficulties causing me to pay an inordinate amount of money, lack of professionalism, and the inability for me to feel comfortable that I would have an antibiotic at the time of surgery, I left to have the service performed at another office.

Went in for consult, they told me my out of pocket would be $500, and my medical would cover rest (approx. $350). I was told they had called both dental and medical coverage providers and medical was best way to go. Absolutely my fault for not checking and making sure this was done/true but I paid the $500 and then received a bill for the balance several months later after my medical denied the claim. Called medical, they said they had never received a call and had they, they would have advised them that this oral surgeon was not in my network so I had $1,100 ded that would not be met so there would be no coverage. Absolutely my fault for not calling myself (is it sad that I'm almost 40 and have never used my medical coverage for other than doctors visits so had no idea?) and I can understand them not telling me about the in/out of network because they wanted the business (procedure would have been 100% covered had I used an in-network provider), but having no grounds to verify that my medical would cover the $350, I do feel I was lied to. When I called Skinners office to inquire I was told it was my responsibility to call my medical provider to confirm and they would set up payment plan for me - gee thanks. Watch out for this office, they do not have your best interest in mind.
