The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and Dr. Weigand is kind, personable, and great at what he does. I have a wonderful experience every time I go in. Dr. Weigand uses state of the art equipment to identify problems early, and fix them quickly. He frequently utilizes lasers in his practice. Obviously it is at the doctors discretion when it is used so no promises on having this technology used on you, but for shallow cavities the doctor was able to use a laser device to remove and fill the cavities without having to numb me. It was awesome! Instead of being in there for an hour and not being able to eat for the next few hours, I was in and out in about 25 minutes and had nothing preventing normal eating or drinking. There was a cold sensation associated with the use of the device but there wasn't any pain. I'm sure the experience can differ from person to person and cavity to cavity, but it was amazing technology. While he is a bit on the pricey side, if you have good dental insurance I would highly suggest seeing Dr. Weigand. The time and care that is taken to ensure your mouth is in good health won't leave you disappointed.

I called the office yesterday (11-10-2015) because I had a crown that had come off, at which time I also discovered it had a hole in it. I had also been experiencing pain when biting down on hard food in one of my other teeth that had a very old, huge filling, and I suspected the tooth was cracked and probably also needed a crown. The office staff was very helpful when I called, and they got me in for an appointment the next day (11-11-2015). When I arrived, the staff was wonderfully friendly, the office was beautiful, and Dr. Kurt's dental assistant was not only friendly but also was interested about my past dental experiences and any worries or concerns I might have had. When I met Dr. Kurt, he was affable, genuine. Upon examination, it became clear I needed a new crown on the tooth I'd had pain in, and Dr. Kurt took an image of the tooth so I could see the crack for myself. In addition to prepping the tooth for replacement of the old crown, he was able to prepare the other tooth for the new crown on the same day so I didn't have to come back a different time. As for the treatment, I had to receive a couple of different shots, and these shots were completely painless because first, as usual, I was giving a numbing gel at the planned injection site. In addition, and unlike other dentists I've been to who administered the Novocaine in about 5 seconds, Dr. Peterson went very slowly, taking perhaps 15-20 seconds or longer to administer each shot. I could not give Dr. Peterson and his staff a higher recommendation. They were all just incredible!

I finally worked up the nerve to mention my pain at my most recent appointments and the Dr IMMEDIATELY identified it. He had me describe the pain, he gently messed with my jaw and he poked at the muscle. The fix was so simple it was almost laughable. I have had a lot of dental work over the years including multiple crowns and they just needed to do a bite adjustment. The pain was gone almost literally instantly. After the usual dental visit soreness my jaw felt amazing. I didn't even realize how much my life was being affected by it. I had stopped feeling hunger cues because of the pain, I was constantly in a bad mood. Lesson learned, if your dentist isn't listening to you about your issues, move on and get a second opinion.
