I don't recommend Dr. Chi…read more As a petite woman, I weigh 92 pounds and stand at 4 feet 10 inches tall. My shoe size is 5. Dr. Chi performed toe fusion on me, but the screw he placed was far too big for my foot. My big toe didn't heal properly, causing me constant pain and I was unable to walk properly because the head of the screw was right below my skin at the front of my toe. He did not inform me ahead of time the size of the screw, and if he had, I would have chosen another option or doctor. For ten months after Dr. Chi's surgery, I was in constant pain and had difficulty walking. The bones were not healing. I asked him about other bone healing options and stem cell treatment, but he dismissed those. He told me unrelated scare stories, and told me he would do another surgery instead to take the pin out, perform a bone graft to fix the issue, then replace the pin. He also told me he didn't support the bone healing machine, that he didn't believe that stem cell treatment is a viable option. Instead he pushed another surgery or agreed to PRP treatment, which I have since discovered only works on tendons and ligaments, not bones. I switched doctors, and ended up having stem cell treatment, and that healed the bone. Then I had another surgery to remove the screw, using an extensive bone graft to fill the hole. More time, and lots more money to correct the surgery done by Dr Chi.

He takes the time to answer all your questions and explains in simplest terms so you fully understand. When he's in the office with you he is totally focused on you and your problems. If I ever need to have surgery again or any of my family members he will be the surgeon. 100 stars

Like Dr. Mohitt. Very informative and easy to talk with. Has excellent schooling for spine…read moresurgeries and quite educated in the field so felt comfortable with him. The administrative staff is less than desirable . Not very friendly and does not call you back. Waited two weeks to get phone call for scheduling my injection. However when I called them to find out when I could schedule my injection, they said that the approval from my insurance still has not come back. I called my insurance immediately and they said that they had just received the request for the procedure within minutes after I got off the phone with the spine center. My insurance said that they would process this claim and get it back to them promptly. I then had to call back the spine center a week later to find out when I could come in for my injection. I was then scheduled for my injection a week later. They are not on top of their paperwork and procedures at all in the front office. Nor do they take responsibility when they have made a mistake. I would suggest that if you use this center, be proactive in scheduling your appointments and be proactive with your insurance so that you get the care that you deserve because the doctor is a great doctor.

I have had reverse shoulder replacement surgery on each shoulder this past year, five months apart…read more What most patients say about Dr. Jurek's rapport, support, and positivity are definitely true, but of course my main concern as a patient was with the outcomes. I'm pleased to say that the outcomes so far have been far better than I had expected, with very little pain after surgery and smooth and quick recoveries. I was swinging a golf club after 6 weeks, and was playing golf just 8 weeks after my first surgery. I had a similar and even better result, with even less pain and quicker recovery time, after my second surgery. I would certainly recommend Dr. Jurek to anyone for shoulder replacement surgery, and after having worked with her through my two surgeries, I am confident that I would recommend her for any orthopedic procedure within her expertise. She is really terrific. (I should also add that she was initially recommended to me by another very highly-rated orthopedic surgeon, so she is clearly highly-regarded by her colleagues and fellow specialists as well.)

After spending 4-5 months in PT and not able to solve my hip problem. I was referred to Dr. Steven…read moreAnderson for diagnostic testing. I was able to book an appointment within a week, which was very convenient. The front desk is very friendly, prompt, and polite. To a point where I felt service I was receiving was noticeably high quality. They also require that all patients wear a mask during these times, which I appreciated. The place is not very big, so every time I went, I did not have to worry about being close to others and did not notice any other patients waiting. After discussing with Dr. Anderson about what my issues were, he took the time to explain to me what the potential issues could me, which I really appreciated. They ran some X-rays on the spot, and after a few minutes, Dr. Anderson took me to his computer where we went over his thought process of what I had. He laid out 3 options for me without being pushy about any. I decided to go with an MRI next (since my bones seemed fine). When I came for my follow-up appointment, Dr. Anderson showed me the MRI on his computer and walked me through his thought process of what he saw. He laid out the options of either more PT or speaking to a surgeon. We talked it through and I've decided to now go see a surgeon since PT wasn't working. He made a point to refer me to someone who he felt wasn't going to push surgery on me and look all of the information before making a decision, which I appreciated. Overall, I really recommend this place! I feel that I received high quality service and would definitely return if I have any other issues.

I had a very bizarre experience with this office. I called to make an appointment for my daughter…read moreas she was having hip and back pain, and I was concerned they were connected. I was told "He does not diagnose things comprehensively like that. You have to make an appointment for one body part at a time." That seemed odd, but his online profile sounded so wonderful that I decided to continue. Long story short, this office views things very very rigidly and compartmentalized. The receptionist seems to have oppositional defiant disorder and that's a reflection on the person who hired her, to me. In fact, she verbally chastised me, at length, not once, but twice, for trying to follow the city's COVID-19 restrictions to keep other patients safe when my daughter was sick. Apparently it was an inconvenience for her. That attitude really concerned me as I want a doctor who is looking out for everyone's best interest, not only their own interests. I never did get a helpful diagnosis in the end. I am sure she will fight this review, too. LOL.

Exactly 8 years ago today at 5 am, I entered Swedish Hospital in Seattle to undergo brain surgery…read morefor Chiari Malformation. It was the single most petrifying thing I have ever done in my life. I entered the hospital with the following symptoms that thousands of people around the world also have, but cannot find doctors to give them answers for because most doctors are not trained in Chiari. My symptoms were... a chronic cough that made my head feel like someone had shot a gun through it at point blank lasting about 30 seconds each time; with each cough also came an electrical zapping that felt like bolts of lightning or a taser shooting out the top of my head and fingers and toes; I had complete dizziness that never stopped, causing it to be hard to think, see, concentrate, walk, shower, cook, shop, drive, fall asleep, pretty much do anything; upper and lower extremities would constantly fall asleep randomly; I would choke on nothing without warning, and also while eating and drinking without warning, my swallowing function would randomly just stop; I also felt like I had a golf ball in my throat even though a scope said I was fine; my vision was off; my gait felt choppy and uncoordinated, my memory was non-existent; I was unable to think of words when talking; I would say sentences that didn't make sense... And more! Thankfully God led me to a surgeon who was up to date on the latest Chiari research and she knew about all my symptoms and what my imaging meant. I will be forever grateful to Dr Jayashree Srinivasen, because I was on the very edge and she saved my life. Two weeks after my surgery, the lightening bolts and the gunshot head pain just disappeared. Many of the other symptoms continued to disappear over time. It has taken a long time to heal. At about 4 to 5 years post op, I stopped improving, but I am extremely grateful for as far as I have come in this journey. Thank you to those who have read this far. I had an incident in January where the palm of my hand received a blow directly on the injured area, causing significant swelling and excruciating pain for months. I saw Dr. Guyette in March. He ordered two X-rays, saw some joint spacing, and diagnosed it as arthritis -- despite my telling him directly that the pain was sharp and burning, not what I'd expect from arthritis. He refused to order any further imaging and only offered a cortisone shot. He did prescribe a brace and Voltaren, which helped with the swelling, but never addressed my actual concern. I sought a second opinion elsewhere, where an MRI was finally ordered. It revealed a ganglion cyst -- a completely different diagnosis that X-rays alone couldn't catch. I felt dismissed when I tried to advocate for myself about my own symptoms, and I'm frustrated and disappointed that it took a second doctor and proper imaging to find the real problem.

My most recent experiences, however, show a complete lack of professionalism. My CT scans from a month ago have not been reviewed, and multiple calls to my surgeon have been ignored. Dr. Basamania has enjoyed a stellar reputation but I think his recent performance is subpar. Saw another reviewer mention a failed surgery with Keem and that "complications occur," as if this…read moreisn't what so often happens with Keem (I've met people who've known physical therapists who work with numerous butchered Keem patients at a time) - so I'm back to update my review. This is a placeholder until I type out another banger lambasting Keem for being a terrible surgeon. Keem told me my artificial disc migrated - in actuality, a team of Virginia Mason neurosurgeons investigated, and found the disc was installed in the wrong place (which took a while to diagnose, as Keem refused to release intra-operative imaging for close to a year). Entire steps of my surgery were skipped. And he lied to my face about it - and to the Polyclinic ... just before mysteriously leaving his cushy position as their sole spinal surgeon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Keem is a lazy, incompetent butcher. I still experience daily pain and take daily pain medications after what he did to me as a young athlete. He mysteriously vanished from the Polyclinic after multiple government investigations of my surgery, including a winning ruling by the Washington state AG's office because Keem was double-paid by both me and my insurance, and his office said I'd have to sue him directly to be reimbursed. He's corrupt, and a liar. After some time floating around, it appears he's been hired by Swedish. They should be ashamed of themselves - I reached out directly to share the results of my surgery. Clearly, Swedish doesn't care about the longevity of their patients, or keeping them safe, functional, and pain-free. Keep in mind that this man has a long and extensive history of "complicated" surgeries, as well as kickbacks into the millions from the manufacturer of the only artificial disc he installs. (They also cover fusion equipment, etc.) I could find no other surgeon who only uses equipment from one company ... let alone ones paid by them on the side. More corruption to the absolute core. More coming. I have other reviews for him in my profile, including one in which I caught him leaving himself a fake positive review. Don't be fooled by this slimy, unctuous guy who has a long history of leaving his patients immediately post-op to go get paid by Medtronic while they suffer through permanent and life-changing complications. Expect a PA to see you for your first post-op appointment (dangerous and insidious scope creep, going against all advice of the American Medical Association), and expect them to misread your imaging and gaslight you about your pain because they have no idea what they're talking about. This is an established pattern of Keem's. If Keem has 5,000 haters, I'm one of them. If Keem has 1 hater, it's me. If Keem has 0 haters, it's because his rotten surgery finally killed me Lmaoooo. If Shakespeare knew this guy, he'd call him an egg.
