No one can deny that Habitat is a place of good taste. I like this store because it has beautiful bedding and faux fur throws. I like this store because it doesn't abuse colour and has nice terra cotta robes. I like this store because it has two floors and sells a multicoloured owl (for 35.00?!). I like this store for the glasses, for the laid out rooms with lime paint ( and I hate Lime but it works here). I like Habitat for it's naff prints for your wall. I like it for rugs and bumpy sofas that are comfortable yet slightly ill fitting. Yes, I'll be richer one day and shop at Habitat. I'll live in West Hempstead and be raw and bleached regularly. Hope is alive.

It turns out sofology sent a chair with a knife blade cut in the Armrest and refused to exchange a chair for another one because they ran out... however, there are SEVERAL available on the website also on clearance in the same area in which I purchased my chair. Went in to buy, LIRA the sales woman in Brent Cross was all nice and I was shown around the store. Finally decided on a set because of the colour. She hid the fact that the colour displayed in the store has been discontinued (which I later found out through another one of her colleagues) and that it only comes in silver/reef. After 6wks they delivered and obviously she had ordered me the silver. Went back to the store and was told by the manager (useless) that the displayed sofa is silver (obviously colour blind) and that is what I have ordered. To top it off, LIRA lied by saying I was aware of that fact, when she knew full well I was redecorating and had just got rid of my old silver sofas and was looking for unusual colou. Didn't get anywhere and was told to contact customer services. Oh well, that is one big mess there as you can only communicate through email, they can call you, but you can't call them. They are all ears politely, but after 3 days and 2 pointless conversation all I was told " the store manager is happy with the sale and we can't do anything else" goodbye. Requested someone higher, she said to email again. Emailed, but no reply. Also their delivery men were trying to set the sofa up in record time, they were fixing the screws in side way and not to the end, so my husband suggested to them to slow down and do them again. They couldn't even understand what we were saying to them as they could not speak a word of English. Anyway they left leaving a massive black mark on the unwanted sofa and said to write it on the delivery note and signe it. Now I have a silver sofa that I did not order with a black mark on the seat to top it off. No action from sofalogy and all these positive review must be done by their staff cause I don't believe a word of it. There is another link and if I had read that before going, I would have never even thought about buying sofas from this shamble of company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, they will lie through their teeth, make mistakes and make you pay for it. If you are waiting for an order (you poor thing) then do not accept on delivery, this is the only way you will get attention. GOOD LUCK.

When we come there we met a German assistant sales person, who told us the owner holds a British Passport, but was a Pakistani. We didn't bother on that, and took the time to look around. It was very impressive what they hard and thought the quality was in height standard. We then discussed our wishes, but rather our wishes and the measurement we had, the sales person was only interested to sale what was on display, hence telling us he can reshape display item, in our size. We didn't like it, and when we wanted a different fabric, the price was untouchable. The sales person was extremely rude, as my child touched items in the showroom, he was telling to my 2 year old son. "Don't touch..don't don't" hike we were beside him, we seriously felt bad, and had to leave. He then run after us to the car park, and said OH....I have a sofa on your budget. We looked each other, me and my wife and didn't know what to and how to respond. Bad attitude, forcing to sale things that isn't on your wish list. You can spend the whole day there easily, rhere is a cafe/resturant inside as well as an aquatic store which has a vast variety of fish, it's almost like visiting a smaller version of the london aquarium (except it's free!). Inside you'll find garden furniture galore, BBQs, water features, pet supplies, tools and lots more. At Christmas they have a big selection of tree decorations, as well as cut and living trees. What really helps to make this place special is the aquatic section - it's like a mini aquarium. Whenever we come here as a family we must go to the aquatic section to look at the beautiful tropical fish, the slimy snails and the koi carp, to name but a few. I've always found the staff helpful. If they didn't know the answer they would get someone who does. If you're looking for something for the garden, you may want to try here. I certainly never seem to leave empty handed.
