Recently moved south from the north side of Broward County and have been looking for a reliable Dry…read moreCleaner. Total Dry Cleaners had the highest rating south of 595 so I decided to give them a try. The signage is a bit confusing, now as it says "Martinizing." I paused at the door, not sure whether to still drop off my dry cleaning because I did not know if all of the good reviews attached to Total mattered if the store changed. Someone inside saw my pause, and came out to say this is Total. Since they were so enthusiastic, and I was already there, I went ahead and dropped off my cleaning. They were exceptionally nice, accommodating, and quick with their return times. Their prices are also good. I happened to need to pick my items up on June 3rd, when the tropical storm was coming through. They are closed on Sunday, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my suits for a business trip. Not to fear, even in the storm they came in and honored store hours saving my day. I would have understood if they were closed, but was extremely thankful they were open. Vica helped me and she is so nice and kind. Total is a bit east of where I live, but for reliable, honest, and friendly service I am happy to have found a place I can count on. They said they cannot change the Total reviews over to Martinizing (and that they are still Total). This is still a bit confusing, but they requested I put the review here and not in a new business. Maybe someone at Yelp can help switch the reviews over.

The place is immaculate. I believe it is under a year old. They do offer free water bottles and some candy. It is a nice treat, especially because I was running around that day and needed a small pickle to. Do I think this place does a better job than a much less expensive dry cleaner near me? I think so. However, I will probably just come here when I have nicer items that I want to ensure are cleaned properly.

I then asked why a press only item would cost so much. She said 5:30 and pointed to the bottom of the ticket where it was printed. She clearly didn't understand what I was asking and didn't have a clear way of communicating. She could see that I was frustrated with the way she blew me off and laughed. This is extremely rude. I asked to speak to the manager. She just said no. I called the number on the ticked and it rang to the phone next to her. Who is in charge here? She is a very poor representative. Kindness works wonders. I hope she is related to the owner because that is the only way she should be allowed to keep that job. The quality of the work has always been good but she has always been rude.

I entrusted this dry cleaner with five high-end garments valued at over $3,000. When the items were…read morereturned, multiple pieces had clearly shrunk by roughly two sizes and were no longer wearable. These garments fit properly before service and were worn without issue. When I raised the concern, instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable resolution, the company dismissed the damage entirely, hid behind "industry standards," and claimed the changes were within "normal tolerances," despite the fact that the garments were materially altered and unusable. What was especially frustrating is that a prior issue with a different garment had already occurred, which they acknowledged at the time by offering compensation as a "courtesy." Now, faced with a much larger and more obvious loss, they refused any accountability. I expected professionalism and care commensurate with handling expensive clothing. Instead, I was met with deflection and a refusal to stand behind their work. I would strongly caution anyone considering bringing valuable or tailored garments here.

But when I finally brought the coat home after my 5th time there in 2 weeks, I found another button broken. At this time, I've had it! I'm just gonna resolve this myself. I'm sure after reading this review, the owner would say why didn't I bring it back. I'm sure had I brought it back they would tell me "you took it out, it's not our responsibility anymore..." And plus after dealing with them for over 2 weeks, I just don't want to anymore. I have 3 kids under 5 and work a full time job....no time to go back and forth. (TIP: good customer service would've offer to drop it off.....) On top of that, owner was rude and patronizing ...worker was rude---she actually SNATCHED my clothes from me when I wanted to use a Yelp coupon (I had the clothes in my hand).
