The community is gated, which provides an added sense of security, and it's very kid-friendly. It's always nice to see children safely playing outside, and I've always felt comfortable knowing it's a safe environment. The property is always clean and well-maintained. You never see trash around the grounds, and the entire community has a welcoming atmosphere. The neighbors are friendly and respectful, which makes living here even more enjoyable. The manager and the entire team are exceptional. They are always friendly, welcoming, professional, and genuinely care about the residents. They respond quickly to any questions or concerns and go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. The maintenance team is also outstanding--they complete repairs quickly and keep the property looking its best. Overall, this is a safe, clean, peaceful, and welcoming community. I highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a place where the management truly cares and the community feels like home.

Debbie (landlord) and Juan (maintenance and Debbie's husband) live onsite they are really nice and helpful. The best apartments in Lompoc hands down, before moving there I researched all the "known" apts by known I mean the ones that pop up first when you google apts in lompoc ....at West Chestnut it's a gated community you have assigned parking, they offer military discount, two pools a jacuzzi, onsite laundry rooms, free comcast cable, water is included, dog park ooooh and NO BREED RESTRICTIONS which I love because I have a super sweet 7 yr old Pitt bull and could not get a single apt in Santa Maria to consider us due to their breed restrictions. Throughout our stay we (my boyfriend (military VAFB) baby Tyson ( our pet) and I (sales consultant in Santa Maria) we made many friends and I always felt safe when my other half was on deployment. Without a doubt I would recommend West Chestnut apts to anybody looking for an apartment. Call Debbie you won't be disappointed!!!

December 2024 we asked for a lease extension which we do yearly. Typically, we hear back within a few weeks. We never heard anything and had to keep asking...Toby Soto and Susy Parrot were nothing but non-communicative. When they did communicate we were harassed...daily. I have the text messages to confirm. I had to block their text line. We moved out in March of 2025. They've since tried listing the property that has termites that have not been treated, has carpenter bees, the back fence is falling down and there are rats everywhere because of the ivy growing between properties at 1690 juniper in Solvang for $4200 over $1200 more than we were paying. There are birds that live inside the attic and the plumbing all backs up monthly. The property isn't renting...as it's in awful shape. It has brick floors which tore all of our feet up over the 5 years we lived there...a small kitchen, the bathtub & "master shower" which is the size of a beach shower both back up monthly and many other problems. They tried to say we stole the washer and dryer in the unit which we replaced and were told we could replace because they don't keep accurate records. They tried to send us notices to clean the carpets professionally before moving out. There are NO carpets in this home. Brick and old outdated wood. Again they don't keep accurate records. They didn't even have our move in inspection on file. Surprise!! I have it still. Thank god! The fridge/fridge sucks and needs to be replaced as well as the dishwasher and stove/oven. There is no microwave in the unit, don't know why they're listing it with one . The garage door also needs to be replaced. There is a leak somewhere in the walls between the master and hall bath and it creates a leak in the floor boards which we were cited for even with a request to fix and photos back from 2020. Tried saying it was from going in and out of the shower/bath when we not once in 5 years used the master shower and the damaged was on the other side of the toilet and an unfinished maintenance request from 2020. They've since lowered the price to $3900. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY FROM THEM or any property from plus property. They are not honest people nor do they care about anything but money. We're working with a lawyer and have also reported them to the BBB! Hopefully saving others from this disaster.
