Our experience with Jason was poor…read more We contracted for a simple sidewalk from driveway to front step. The route is level and was lawn. We supplied detailed dimensions and requirements. Jason quoted $3,200. Then Jason did not respond for two days. He first claimed he had no internet or phone service. When he finally showed up, he claimed the lack of response was because he had been too sick to answer. Before coming, Jason asked to use our backhoe/loader because he had trailer issues and could not bring his equipment. We said OK. When he showed up, he did not know how to operate the backhoe or loader, or even move the tractor. After an hour of training Jason, he started removing the existing turf. In doing that, he damaged our deck and promised to repair it (he did not). We served Jason lunch. He quit at 2:30, saying he would be back to finish the following day. He left tools scattered around our property. He did not return the following day and did not respond to requests for his plan. The third day, Jason showed up near noon and said he would not complete the job or replace the grass. Jason said that the grass removal he had done benefited us and that we should be grateful. He became hostile, abandoned the contract and the job, leaving us with damage and a mess. We are senior citizens. After receiving law enforcement assistance and recommendations regarding a safe method with a hostile person, we returned Jason's tools to his location in Yreka. Instead of the contracted sidewalk, we have a damaged deck and a dirt entry path with no grass. What was grass will become a dangerous, slippery, muddy path this winter. That mud will track into our home. Jason has endless and creative excuses. Given our experience with Jason, we do not believe that even with a clear contract, quality work, lack of damage, or job completion is likely.

The house foundation is set on pyramid concrete blocks (about 12" - 18") with 4" x 4 " or 4" x 6" wood posts to the floor joists. They are about 2' - 3' tall. There is easy access and about 4' tall space under the house. I would like to raise the back wall back up to level. What do you think??

For years we had trimmed and pruned it, however, we were seeing signs of age and decay. The tree was very large, its canopy spreading over the roof of our home, as well as, our neighbor's. We had been concerned for years of a large branch breaking under snow load landing on our home or the neighbor's. We called other Tree Services and received quotes, information, and suggestions. Dale Nova, the owner, and Certified Arborist, accessed our tree, and without hesitation suggested it be removed. Though booked out, he considered our tree to be a safety concern, and did his best to schedule its removal as soon as possible. His crew, Nick and Todd, arrived the day scheduled and did an extremely professional job. We had other ornamental trees directly under the Ash, and they took every precaution to not drop limbs or destroy surrounding trees and structures. Dale was very prompt in his communications, and also followed-up after the work was done. As it turned out, Dale had already looked after our trees prior to our taking possession of the property. He knew the trees well, and was able to identify a beetle infestation and the need to deep root feed 3 of our trees. Dale was concerned about saving as many trees as possible. He also identified the varieties of trees on our property, as he is a certified Arborist. As we surveyed the trees on the property, Dale explained how they had installed a specialized cable system in our very tall forked pine tree out front by the lake shore. He had his crew check the system out while doing our job, to see if the cable system was still in tact. He wanted to make sure that the tree was able to face the up to 100 mph winds that we get off the lake. Dale's crew arrived on time, and they were very pleasant and professional. They worked all day long, and even cut up the trees into fire wood for us. They also offered to remove some cuttings that we had made while pruning shrubs. Dale was so pleasant and VERY knowledgeable. He also helped us to work with the home owners association to facilitate the tree removal process.
