Meats all well seasoned, mostly tender. Asada was excellent, though it was the only one with a few tough pieces. Al pastor cut into perfect little strips, and full of flavor. Carnitas tender and juicy, and pan-seared for a touch of greasy goodness. Sign says $1.50 but they haven't updated it yet, price is $2 each. Their salsas are nothing special but the red goes well on the tacos. Service is fast and friendly. They give you a buzzer so you can sit in your car. They have a few picnic tables that are semi-shaded in the evening. It's kind of interesting spot watching the traffic exit the freeway ramp. And parking is ample on this empty farside of the gas station parking lot. It's definitely worth a stop.

My wife is the catfish connoisseur, got the catfish dinner with potato salad and corn, and I tried the loaded nachos, 1/2 recommended by the chef. The catfish dinner was plentiful with four catfish fillets and a decent amount of potato salad and corn. Corn is corn so there was no messing that up. Potato salad was solid not great but still a solid effort.( missed having pickles...strangely I didn't get one bite of pickle in it). The catfish was probably the biggest disappointment of the two meals, as it had no flavor! It was just catfish in cornmeal. I had to break out both salt packets that were included and still reach for some hot sauce to go with it! The loaded nachos consisted of nacho cheese sauce refried beans barbecue beef brisket and barbecue chicken. The chicken was OK not really flavored well. The barbecue brisket however was very flavorful and was a definite sweet brown sugar sauced joy!!! Combined with the nachos which weren't that spectacular it made for a decent dish! Could it be a dollop of sour Cream as well as some jalapeños to really put it over-the-top. The nachos were eight bucks, the catfish was $10. For the price, you got a decent amount of food, just not enough soul seasoning. If Yelp allowed half stars I'd give it 2.5 stars.
