a bar with a counter and a television

I finally found a great Honduran place in the Ft Myers area. Latin Grill, aka "Rinconcito Catracho" gets all five stars and let me tell you why. As soon as I walked in, the decoration brought me back to Honduras. They have a box from the Cervecería Hondureña s.a as decoration and I have not seen one of those since 2005. It reminded me of my grandmother and her small pulpería back in La Ceiba. Thank you for that. I ordered two baleadas con carne, a pineapple juice and a medalla. The meat in the baleadas was cut in small pieces, which made it easier to eat it. The beans and the flour were tasty. I recommend them. I also got some Zambos to go. You cant never go wrong with Zambos.

This is one of my favorite Latin Restaurant in Fort Myers. As everyone will tell you, it is located in an industrial or warehouse location off US 41. The full name is Rinconcito Catracho Latin Grill or Honduran Small nook. Some how Yelp has two separate business names, one under Rinconcito Catracho and one under Latin Grill. It is the same establishment! We've been here many times and each time we were fully satisfied with their food and services. First the smiling waitress is wonderful and pleasant to deal with. If you don't know what a chuleta de cerdo is, just ask her! Today, flying solo for lunch. I have their camarones al ajillo (garlicky shrimp) with a cup of horchata. The shrimps with garlic were perfectly cooked. The side of rice is seasoned so well, fluffy and tasty that you would not stop eating! The tortilla is hot and you know they were made a few minutes ago! The refried bean is just amazing here. From the outside, this looks like a divvy place, once inside, it is another world! So, if you enjoy Mexican, Honduran and Latin food, this is the place for you. Prompt service and reasonable price!

One of my favorites. So many options at a great place! Everything I've tried is delicious. You simply cannot go wrong. The service is good, it feels very homey inside.

Soup, taco trio, carne asada taco, Jarritos and Modelo beer.

Latin Grill is full of authentic and flavorful dishes. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food paired with excellent customer service, then this is your spot. Snowbirds, this is a hidden gem. Enjoy!

This was honestly the best food we've had in a long time. Everything we got was delicious. The food is authentic and is flavored well. I can't wait to try more soon!

Visited Latin Grill for lunch. I had the taco lunch special. It was so delicious. Very authentic flavors. The service was good but I paid with a 100 and noticed she shorted me 20 on my change. I'm hoping it was an honest mistake.

Its a small local restaurant in the area. The menu is half mexican, half hondurian. I ordered a plate of churrasco with rice, salad and fried beans with cheese. Delicious. The churrasco was medium well. Also came with their own chimi churro sauce is what I call it. The sauce went well with the steak and I added a bit of hot sauce. They have a bar area. Im not sure if its a full bar. That area is small. There is nice back round music playing as well. Over all, not bad. Im actually impressed.

Been to this place many times since reading about it on Yelp. Food has been delicious and a good variety of items on the menu. Looking at the menu I see Mexican, Colombian, and Salvadorian favorites. The service has always been very friendly and the orders come out fast. One of my best choices is the whole fried red snapper which runs about $15. Once it was over cooked and fried a little too long but other times it was spot on. Their salsa is always spicy bringing some heat to the table. We shared the Mega Bandeja Paisa last time we were there. Everything on the platter was very good and the portions were tremendous. The Pupusas with pork and cheese are some of the best I've had. For drinks I really enjoy their Horchata (rice water) if I'm not going to have an ice cold Corona beer. One of my go to places in Fort Myers when I can't decide a particular type of food because they have it all!! Coming back? Yes Sir!

Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat, I am a carnivore... I love meat. But someone told me to try fish tacos. ehhh. I did here. These were outstanding. Plus the housemade sauce was heated heaven. The fish was cooked just right the lettuce or cabbage was seasoned all so well. The side of yellow rice was fluffy and so tasty. The refried bean were mmm mmmm good. I also had some type of raspberry drink. I bought extra and took a grande home. Chit chat. This is located on a side street in a strip mall/industrial area. Very non descript. Open for Breakfast till nine PM. Daily...Divey from outside but very nice inside. Service is prompt and excellent. So if you are into fish tacos come here. I will. I will be back for other items too.

This restaurant quickly became our go-to dinner spot. We found El Local on Yelp about a month ago…read moreand decided to try it out. It was a very busy Friday night, but the service was fantastic. Every server and team member was engaged with the tables, with more than one server checking on us (and others). They were also great at making recommendations for our food, since we had never eaten there. I forgot to take pictures but we've been back 3 times since! The food has been fantastic! Fresh herbs, tender meat, flavorful ingredients and everything we've had has been great. Previously we tried gorditas (soooo good), enchiladas and two kinds of burritos. This time, we chose quesabirria and shredded beef enchiladas. Both were fantastic! Even more, the drinks are incredible. The bartender has made a few different drinks, including margaritas and mojitos and they're never too sweet, just refreshing and delicious. The vibe of the restaurant is very easy going, fun (with some Latin music on) and relaxing environment. It's been very clean on each visit as well. Can't wait to go back!

We came on a Saturday around 5 and it was busy, we were told there would be almost an hour wait on the food and there wasn't a table available so we sat at the bar. It was worth it. I had met the bartender at an event before and was pleasantly surprised to see him behind the bar but he was working his magic and the drinks coming out looks beautiful. He took great care of us. We ordered flautas and a torta, the food came out in 20 minutes and it was soo delicious. The food felt and tasted so authentic. The space is not small but not big and it's def unique but festive and cool. We tried visiting again on Thursday for dinner but this time there was a line outside, we need to time this better but worth it.

Parking was easy and the atmosphere was electric. When Mr.Roberto greeted us it truly felt like he was welcoming us into his home. We were seated and I ordered a lime house margarita and the jalapeño queso to start. The margarita blew me out of the water. It was so delicious I had to stop myself from getting another one (maybe on the weekend hehehe) the queso came out warm and Cheesey just how you want it! They give chips and salsa to start. Three types in a bottle and a pico type in a container. This is wonderful for me because I am a little baby when it comes to spice so I enjoyed the flavorful mild (green) while my boyfriend was a fan of the dark red really spicy one! For our mains we both got tacos he got the carne asada soft shell taco combo which came with three and I got the taco supreme which came with 2 mine were hard shell with a layer of cheese and then a soft shell. I really appreciate how they use shredded cheese on the tacos I got- it was very authentic and reminded me of actual Mexican food from Mexico and not this east coast Mexican food I can't seem to get away from in FL! We finished off the night with the flaun which was creamy and the perfect way to end this feast. We had to go boxes when we left and a beautiful heartfelt conversation with Mr.Roberto. He was full of pride, kindness, and personality. He made sure to visit every table and the atmosphere made me never want to do a to go order because then you'd be missing out of all the immaculate vibes. I can't wait to go back!

I went with a selection of tacos - asada, chorizo and pollo. The chorizo was my favorite. They make their own salsa in three levels of spice. My favorite was the mild. It was creamy and flavorful. Reviews sounded good so we gave it a try. This place is great! It's located in a strip mall. You enter into a large room with many tables and chairs. To the right is a massive cooler filled with all sorts of beers, waters, sodas, etc. and you serve yourself. Bottle openers are on the tables. To the front left is a cashier stand. On the back wall is a series of menu boards showing what is available and prices. A server brought out a basket of tortilla chips and a trifecta of salsas. The darker orange salsa surely had chipotle peppers in it as it had a wonderful smokiness to it and not to spicy. The other two had some serious heat, too much for us. I ordered a small/regular size Michelada ($5.99) and my wife pulled a bottle of water (99 cents) from the cooler. Most of the patrons were drinking the Micheladas, many with the super sizers - maybe a liter. My Michelada came out with a nice jumbo shrimp and cucumber slice garnish and the rim had been dipped in tahin. What a surprise to see the shrimp! We both ordered burritos - my wife chose al pastor (pork) and I opted for steak ($14.99 ea.). Out came some serious burritos accompanied with a small, undressed salad of crisp lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The burritos are LOADED with meat, and just the right amount of rice, cheese, cilantro and onion. My steak was extremely tender, not chopped up into super small pieces as is typical. And the flavor was some of the best steak I've ever had. Likewise, my wife's al pastor was the best she had ever had. We could only eat half and brought the other half home for lunch the next day. Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. In one visit we became fans and will go back soon.

Tucked in the shopping plaza at Winkler / Gladiolus in Ft Myers, this cute and cozy spot has easy access to and from the beach and close to Health Park hospital. Bottled Mexican sodas, can sodas and beer are available. We chose sodas and chips and salsa to start as we scanned the menu. Please note, this is not like going to a typical American Mexican restaurant were chips and salsa come complimentary; you'll pay for a basket of fresh, hot, crispy tortilla chips and a 3 types of fresh salsa : green, spicy red and a creamy green. All were exceptional and fresh. Hubby ordered combo fajitas; beef and chicken. It came with a generous side of beans, rice and tortillas. I ordered the chicken flautas which also came with a side of beans and rice. Fajitas; meats were juicy and vegetables were cooked perfect. The flour tortillas were homemade and perfect taco size. Chicken flautas were crispy with a nice helping of shredded lettuce and cream sauce atop. We both enjoyed the refried beans and rice. Although my only complaint would be a bit more seasoning as I did use salt. Service was friendly, swift and efficient. The restaurant was tidy and clean. Definitely an easy laid back vibe. Can't wait for our next visit; I eyed the chicken nachos and they looked divine!
