But they are ONLY if you order a dozen of the same kind. Makes sense! The workers on the phone were very helpful and gave good advice on what to get. I would probably reorder the vegan options again as those were my favorite. Wish it had more filling. As you see they dont have a closing at the top. I also wish they were somewhat labeled, I guessed what was what.

Out of curiosity, stopped by to try this restaurant for an early lunch. I was the first patron of the day. The place was decorated with many native artifacts and has a festival ambiance. A center stage was decorated with speakers ready for native music and dancing! The staff was super friendly and explained the Puerto Rico cuisine and some of Mexican dishes to me. This is my first visit; I opted for a Camarones Al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp) and a Jamaica (Hibiscus Tea). The Garlic was sauteed with garlic, red and green pepper and a side of Arroz Gandules. They were delicious and tasty. The chips and salsa, tostones (fried green plantain) and the garlic shrimps were made with fresh ingredients. The tostones were fried until golden, with crispiness. The place is clean; staff friendly and the food is good! The price is reasonable. Will be back for more Puerto Rican cuisine.

Q Papaya sells all the staples-- arepas, cachapas, empanadas, etc. But it tends to be the greasy, fried version of these. We've eaten here twice, and both times have been underwhelmed by the quality of the food. The prices are kind of high for such average food. Empanadas are fairly cheap, around $3.50 each, but you're not really getting much. Arepas and cachapas fetch higher prices, over ten dollars, but are simply not worth that much. There is no real ambiance. This is just a counter in the mall. I have been to nice Venezuelan restaurants with better prices, and better food. This is the touristy, mall version of a Venezuelan restaurant.
