Recently I had a river accident in…read moreColorado this July and ended up with a concussion, whiplash, and a brain bleed all wrapped in extremely tight muscles. This led to 1 urgent care visit and 3 emergency room visits and being admitted to the hospital for one night. Major headaches have been a constant issue since the accident. Once I got back to Texas and could no longer stomach Tylenol and muscle relaxers, I went to Oak Cliff Acupuncture. This treatment first helped to calm my nervous system and then reduced pain & inflammation. It was there I found out I also had a dislocated shoulder, which was causing most of the headaches. I feel my true recovery started that day vs. the limbo I had been in for 2 weeks of taking medication that upset my stomach and didn't provide relief longer than 4 hours at a time. I won't wait to make an appointment next time.

Over the years, I have seen traditional and holistic practitioners to no avail. Because Dr. Bella is knowledgeable and thorough, she was able to pinpoint the source of my illness (low thyroid, low B & D, among other things) almost immediately. By changing my diet and adding high quality supplements, I began feeling better within a couple of weeks. I finally know what it feels like to be HEALTHY!! Thank you, Dr. Bella!

I look forward to it every time.

I cannot say enough about the fabulous and kindhearted Dr. Liang! She is the consummate…read moreacupuncturist, and in my book the best in Dallas and quite possibly the state over. She has THE greatest bedside manner and can quickly understand the root cause of an issue with a quick assessment of your pupils, tongue, pulse, etc. With Dr. Liang and the practice of acupuncture, and Chinese herbs, my hormones balanced tremendously, wiping out all of the previous hormone disruptions I once experienced. I also found I had more steady weight loss during the months I attended twice weekly. During this time I also had a sinus attack and guess what? There are Chinese herbs for that! My sinus issues are minimal to none because of the one-time treatment that arrested this life-long issue. And from Dr. Yenny I have learned valuable techniques affecting the meridian points, to perform at home. Overall I am more than pleased with the service provided by this fine establishment. I highly recommend Dr. Liang for the practice of acupuncture. Further, I am grateful that my insurance covers this type of treatment. More insurance companies should!

I have been going to the Center for Holistic Healing since February, 2016. I've been seriously ill…read morefor the past 6 1/2 years. The journey to this date has been very long! At one point I was near death, remained bedridden for months and have stayed mostly"couch ridden" since March of 2010. I was finally diagnosed with POTS then Mast Cell Activation Disorder with severe multiple chemical sensitivity, among many other conditions. I've seen well over 100 doctors both traditional and alternative medicine in the past 6+ years. At one point I had Gastroparesis, was told a feeding tube wouldn't even help me, was hospitalized over 45 days without answers, had PTSD from severity of my symptoms when I first became ill and nearly died. I had lost 50lbs in 3 months time from malabsorption and my autonomic nervous system was a disaster! By the time I walked into Dr. Schulenberg's office I could eat only 10 foods for the past 2 1/2 years. Anything else would cause anaphylactic reactions. Everyday for the past 2 1/2 yrs I experienced head to toe itching, unexplainable by any doctor. I was unable to take any supplements, herbs, medications etc... without severe side effects and reactions. The list of issues goes on and on, basically I was very very ill. Within one month, I was able to eat 3x's more foods than I had in nearly 3 years! I'm now able to take supplements and herbs that my body needs but previously was unable to absorb them or they caused awful side effects. I'm sleeping better at night and have been able to reduce a highly addictive prescription drug used for sleep that I've taken since falling ill nearly 7 years ago. My digestion is working the way it is supposed to work and I'm able to go to church and to be in public without a mask to protect me from perfumes and other chemical sensitivities! I'm no longer secluded at home 24/7 and can walk longer and be around scents that I couldn't tolerate for more than a few seconds. I'm now 2 months into treatment and seeing more and more positive changes to my health and feeling more and more hopeful that I'll be well once again! Dr. Schulenberg and the Center for Holistic Healing has literally given me my life back to a level I had given up on not long ago! I have a long way to go but to think where I was two short months ago versus where I am now, it's a miracle!!! I can't say enough good things about the staff. Judy is amazing and is always SO helpful, Amanda their contracted lymphatic massage therapist is incredible, Lynn is the sweetest and so loving and kind and Deb has been very supportive with any technology issues. Dr. Schulenberg is the best doctor I've ever met! She's a true God send in every sense of the word and has been blessed with the ability to customize your needs based on your particular issues. She's amazing! I look forward to living my life again for the first time in almost 7 very long years!!! Being a mom the way I want to be to my 13 yr old son and 31 yr old daughter, and a wife to my husband of 16 years. Thank you Dr. Schulenberg, Judy, Lynn, Amanda and Deb for making that happen for me! May God continue to bless you all! And most importantly thanks be to God for leading me to you! I could go on and on, but the most amazing thing I've seen with treatment here versus anywhere else, is that it's been the ONLY thing that's worked for me since being ill in August of 2009. The progress I've seen in 2 months far outweighs anything else I've tried. And believe me, I've tried everything!!! I'm eternally grateful for you Dr. Schulenberg, Judy, Lynn, Amanda and Deb! Thank you!!! * Note, as another poster stated, the treatment, supplements etc... can be quite expensive. But they won't ever recommend more than you need and it's been worth the investment to regain my life!

Secretary so rude. I called today to reschedule an appt. because I (an hour too late) realized I'd…read morerescheduled my appt. To a day I'll be traveling for my husbands job. She said she wouldn't apply my already paid deposit for my next appt. due to the fact I called to adjust my appt. at the 23 hour mark instead of the 24 hour mark, so therefore I'd lose the deposit I paid and have to repay it to re-schedule. I had been adjusting my appt. In the portal within the allotted 24 hour time for a few weeks because my early pregnancy symptoms had been quite severe and It was hard for me to leave the house let alone imagine being adjusted while in the midst of intense nausea. I had to call to reschedule this time because I was at the 23 hour mark and past the 24 hour mark....she didn't ask my name or appt time. I just told her forget it (Im not going to pay extra money for frivolity) and I'd just find another office mostly because she was very curt and you could tell by her attitude she was not interested in me being a patient there. After hanging up I realized she didn't even ask my name or appt. time. I called back to ask why she didn't ask my name and how she knew which appt. to cancel. She said "oh I looked up your phone number" ...which is fine, but still strange front desk manners to not acknowledge or confirm who you're talking to and confirm the appt. time or account you're dealing with. It was all very abrupt and passive aggressive. She told me I was the only appt. That day, so maybe I'm better off at an office with a little more demand. We understand the 24 hour cancellation policy...but 23 hours is petty. She didn't say any impolite words to me, but any human being with a sense of social norms could tell she was being rude and abrupt and terse in her tone. Too bad. I was looking forward to receiving prenatal care here. Sorry for the doctor who lost a patient and the future patient of my baby. When will offices start to realize that service starts with the person who picks up the phone to your office? So silly-over $30 and and 1 hour.
