He was nervous and standoffish with us understandably, but we saw his goofy and sweet personality peek through when Yuri interacted with him. He clearly felt safe and comfortable with her. We sat there for at least a few hours before deciding to take him home on a trial basis, but very soon after, realized he was the pup we had been waiting for. Her adoption fees were very affordable and the process was easy. Taking on a stray with an unknown history wasn't easy, but the joy he brings to our lives makes it so worth it. Over the next two years, Yuri even checked in, and we sent pictures and updates on how Odie was doing. She truly cares for her rescues and we feel so lucky to have crossed paths!

Yuribia explained that the majority of her doggies are rescued from the streets of Tijuana in deplorable conditions. Some of these doggies are in very bad health from neglect or injuries or abuse. Both of the doggies we met were precious but it was clear that this baby girl was meant to come home with us! Yuribia told us that if she needed any veterinary care that she could take her back to the vet in Tijuana that takes cars of all of her rescues. We received a record of her vaccinations to date and took her to our own vet just for a checkup and our little girl was happy and healthy. I tell everyone who is looking for a pet to contact this rescue because she really does care and rescue so many babies that need loving homes. THE OCEANSIDE CAMPUS…read more I came here to just check on the dogs I saw on the news that were rescued from the hoarding situation in Vista. My heart literally broke when I saw that news. Unfortunately, they are in a safe area not accessible for the public and no they were not up for adoption as they are apart of an ongoing investigation. :: CAMPUS :: It's very tucked away off of Hwy 76. Not as big and glamorous looking as the San Diego campus. Sadly there weren't very many guests visiting or adopting dogs, I felt like my car and another car were the only visitors. But I did see some play areas for the dogs as I was driving near the facility which made me happy. I saw quite a handful of staff working or walking around the campus and they genuinely look like they do care about the animals - not just work here to just have a job. Anyone reading this... I truly encourage you to adopt a pet from a rescue. They are loving animals looking for a home.

He bite me- of course he has been abused and here I was another person he didn't know, He was humping my dog (yes he is neutered) and I tried to stop this. The bite has healed. I reached out to them because I have 2 older dogs and this little guy was not right for our home, he is young with lots of energy. SD chihuahua rescue would take him because of the bite. After talking with a counselor their recommendation was "Humane Euthanasia" OMG!!! I was appalled!! they did not even meet this dog, the recommendation came from my phone call with them! what kind of organization is this! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!…read more I have been patient in looking to add a kitten/cat to our family and stumbled across Marigold on a fosters Instagram page which prompted me to submit an application. Kat reached out the very next day after reviewing our application and pre approved us. Yelena reached out for all coordination afterwards. Marigold was not even posted on the rescues page but they were so kind and were able to get us in to meet her. The foster mom (and dad) were wonderful and have been doing this for so long (60+ kitties). We instantly fell in love with Marigold and were able to be selected to adopt her (pat on our back for being able to provide a good home). She came from a hoarder home and was lucky to survive from malnutrition. We came back to get her after getting she completed her shots/spayed. Not even 24 hours in, my one year old tabby loves her and she is settling in perfectly. I will say I have had not so great experiences with other rescues in the area and Dirty Little Paws surpassed all expectations! I hope one day I can repay them and foster another baby in need.

It was a really clean facility, well kept, organized, and everyone there was super friendly and helpful. You can really see how much they love their animals. We were there going back and forth between a few dogs before we finally came to a consensus as a family, but we honestly wanted all three! Fees were straight forward, current vaccines, microchipped, and fixed was completely worth it. The paperwork was quick and painless as well. The only downfall is that it is on base and kind of hidden, we had a hard time finding it even with the GPS. The other thing was that even though her paperwork said her stitches were removed a couple weeks prior, it actually was not. Only reason I didn't dock any stars is because the vet we took her to did it for free and I'm hoping it was just an issue of miscommunication. All in all, we would recommend this place to anyone looking to rescue!

I needed to register and get vaccine for my yorkie Bruno Mars. Cassie came out with shots and I have to restrain my dog who's very uncooperative. Cassie ended up taking him in to administer the shot. Thank you all for your kindness. I'm glad that there's caring people which includes the volunteers who takes care of all the animals to make sure they get their exercise and fresh air. I went back to Fallbrook animal sanctuary after seeing some cute cats on their website (however I wouldn't adopt a cat from its photo...). Like last time, the staff was very welcoming and let me sit with all the cats in the cage, until I met the one I decided to adopt. The staff warned me that the cat I picked had been abused and that it would take time for the cat to come out and interreact after relocation. The adoption process was very quick and easy. I took my "Cream puff" home and she is the sweetest. About people complaining around the judgmental communication: the staff places pets. The staff see a lot of posers and people who will not care of their adoptee. Yes, the staff's lead can make you feel judged and I am glad she does!

** Birthday Party Review **…read more We had our daughter's 5th birthday party here and it was fantastic! Definitely great value for the rental cost. Shoutout to Connor who took great care of us. We booked the pollinator playground and it was beautiful. All we did was bring in some balloons, snacks and drinks and we were all set. We had lunch easily delivered as well. The event space was brand new with plenty of seating and the strong air conditioning was a saving grace from the recent heat we've been having. The refrigerator and sink in the room were very useful. We had about 35 guests and the space did not feel crowded at all. The experience is perfect for elementary aged kids, 4 to 9 year olds. Any younger and I think sitting down quietly to learn about the animals would not be that interesting to them. Lots of great information was shared and many of the grownups enjoyed being able to interact with the animals too! Tip: I suggest doing a mix of outdoor/indoor animals. If you purely do indoor animals, the kiddos have to stay seated for pretty much an hour. Mixing indoor/outdoor gives the group a welcome change of scenery. We adopted a puppy. This puppy was ill from the moment we took him home. He had recurring UTi's and…read moreringworm. They were not transparent about why the puppy was not in a foster with his siblings. And obviously the puppy was not well enough to be adopted. He was in near liver failure, and our vet was not optimistic but recommended we return him to the shelter since it had only been a couple of weeks. We adores the puppy and spent thousands of dollars on his care, when we made the heart wrenching decision to return him for extensive care. We would love to take him back but they will not allow us and were not nice on the phone. This isn't a decision we took lightly. We have 3 other pets so we are not irresponsible owners. They sent us home with a very sick puppy. And ruined our shelter experience. (My daughter was a volunteer there as well, but no longer)

Truthfully, she and how Art and paw animal rescue is ran, should be an example of how all the animal rescues should be. I adopted my puppy from a group of 9 puppies and she knew everything about each and every single one of them. Unless those are met, we do not take a vacation. On last Saturday, we went to Petsmart to get some dog food and cat food. My wife found this lovely dog that she would not leave without her. Art and Paws Animal Rescue went through all the questions about our living environment to make sure the dog was going to a right place, made sure that we were committed, not compulsive and showed us the papers with medical history and everything. Lulu is so happy being with other brothers and a sister and fit right in without hesitation. There are some dog rescues that only concentrate on making dogs adopted but Art and Paws Rescue really care for the dogs and we felt the right thing as dog owners.
