He grabbed my shoulder with full force and pushed me off the platform. When I told him it hurt, he made a mocking sad face and then waved his had bye-bye. I will never come here when I'm in Berlin again. Also, it will be good to note that I tried to take a picture of the DJ, but the bouncers kicked me out right away.

As much as glitz and glamour is still persistent, the actual bar is too far behind, always crowded and as much as I tried to find positive attributes: it is a cube. A fairly soulless cube that was decorated nicely. Nevertheless - the beergarden is amazing, the downstairs when open fantastic and even the toilets will make you encounter a different view on things... Despite all that: IT ROCKS. Gotta love Nina Queer, gotta love Germany's Next Top Model and (German classic) Tatort Public Viewing and go crave for the Glamourquiz! Just keep in mind NOT to argue with Nina... unless you fancy public humiliation. Hehe. Oh also, if you show your man or lady bits on the little stage, don't worry about drinks for the night - you'll get them for free! With some fixed dates and changing special nights it'll always be worth to pay the Hobby a visit.

Tons of books, yes, you have to search a bit, but after 15 minutes I walked out with 3. and best part is they are on loan, meaning I have two months to read them and when I return them I get all my money back -€1.50 for each book. Which is great for a traveler who doesn't want to carry around a bunch of books and weight but loves to read. I can't wait to finish my books and get more.

The staff seemed pretty enough, as in we were greeted, given general directions on their purchasing/lending rules, then free to browse without interruption. I'd describe this store as a shitshow in the best sense of the word. I've never been in a building like this, in Germany or otherwise. The rooms were massive with 18-20 feet high ceilings and STACKED with books. The sections were categorized by fiction, crime novels, biographies and so on. In my opinion, the books were 70% basic run of the mill garage sale type books, so you really have to dig deep to find anything worthwhile. We purchased 5 books for the whopping cost of 25.50€, and if we return them we get all of our €€€€ back, minus 1.50€ per book. Not a bad deal and for this reason, I'd definitely return!

I stopped in with a friend after lunch to warm up with a chai latte - I noticed that many of the cafes in Berlin only offered oat milk as a non-dairy option which is delicious but also a bit heavy for me. Nonetheless, the chai was delicious! My friend also tried the peach beer and loved it. I wish I'd made it back here a second time because the craft brew list by BRLO looked so good and interesting. The vibe here is perfect - a little industrial but with homey touches such as plants and shelves of books. The outside space looked super cute as well, but it was chilly so I didn't get to experience it. For those looking to play games, they have shuffleboard in the basement!

I only had one drink here (a blueberry saison) but likely could've stayed for hours. They had hooks, free wifi, and ample seating. I didn't get to talk to the bartenders but they seemed nice enough as well. Kaschk also serves as a coffee bar...an interesting combo that makes perfect sense! Prices are a bit hefty (my saison was like 9 euro) but also they're imported so it makes sense. I was glad to see Victory in stock. Apparently they just took over all of Europe. I see them EVERYWHERE. Totally didn't expect that. But anyway, yeah, visit this bar if you have the time.

Even my vegetarian friend liked the meal. I highly suggest you come here with a large group so you can sample a little bit of everything. Here were my favorites (it's a long list): * Buffalo burrata, yellow beetroot, chanterelles, and kale pesto * Salmon trout ceviche * Freshly cut French fries with various dips: very simple dish, but we all loved munching on them * "Candy on bone" pork with pickled vegetables (their signature dish) * Beef brisket with fennel, ponzu, and plum * Yellow peas puree with apple chutney * Roasted cauliflower with smoked potatoes * Flank steak tagliata with chimichurri sauce * Gingerbread crème brûlée, pear, and plum sorbet * Honey parfait and pear These dishes were decently good, but probably would refrain from ordering if the above dishes were available: * Pumpkin salad, dill, and Jerusalem artichoke * Potato-onion tart with lovage cream * Mango sorbet * Shaved milk ice cream Not-a-fan dishes that others might like: * Duck tataki, pak choi, and kumquats: overall flavor was good, but there were mounds of duck pate not listed on the ingredients list and I was not a fan of pate * Mushroom tartar, egg yolk, and cauliflower cream: having both egg yolk and cauliflower cream made the dish too wet Service was top-notch. Our table size increased last minute (completely our fault) and the host scrambled to switch our table with another party's, even though the other party already seated a guest! They nicely asked that guest to switch and she agreed. Our waitress was attentive and made good suggestions without upselling. Despite ordering most of the menu, our food came out reasonably quickly. After dining with slow service in Berlin, this place was a breath of fresh air.
